ANOTHER weather thread (sorry!)

Sorry but on my home from Glasgow last night in a taxi I noticed that it was SNOWING! And then when we got into my town it was really heavy and blizzardy. There's no snow on the ground today though cos the rain has washed it all away. But it was absolutely ridiculous last night.
I can remember this time a few years ago I was at this park and it was absolutely scorching. People had their tops off and some were jumping into the loch and swimming and stuff.

Did it snow anywhere else last night?

No snow here PJ, but last night it rained non stop for hours.
I hope it doesn't rain tonight as I'm off out and not planning on getting wrapped up.

I saw on a weather report this morning that it had been snowing up your end :w00t: last night.
Nothing at all like that down here but apparently it's going to be very cold tonight.

Mr F told me this morning that on his way home last night, he came through a blizzard!!

But like you peej - the rain was so ferocious it washed any snow away - most of our local rivers have burst their banks this morning, and our back garden is awash - I looked way down to what used to be a small leek trench [raised out of the ground by railway sleepers - so about 10 inches deep], and it was just a glimmering pool. I haven't been down to check - in fact I haven't left the house.

I always cook with wine, and sometimes I actually put it in the food.

Sounds painful, you should see someone about that.

No snow here, but there is nothing new about that!

This morning was very, very wet, my youngest came back from his paper round soaked to the skin, yet now we have a glorious sunny day with blue skies with hardly any clouds!
