BBC News 24 - Main Story

I was up early yesterday (clocks, babies, etc) and the 7am news headlines were announced thus:

"US Homeland security has announced that there is no specific terrorist threat ahead of the elections and that is the main story today!"

So the main news is no news?

Does that mean that the terrorists have effectively won without lifting a finger?

"You can put lipstick on a pig...but it's still a pig!!!"

Hehe, thats funny groucho Smile

But I was reading in the paper yesterday that both the democrats and the republicans were all fearing an attack prior to the elections.

Apparently American politicians have this "October surprise" in which they each try to come out with a shocking story about the other.

The democrats thought the repulicans kept secret that they had killed Osama Bin Laden, and they were going to use that as the "October surprise"

Well they all got a shock when he appeared on Al Jazeera tv condemning them all Big Grin
