BBC experiments with downloadable tv shows

The BBC is calling on broadband users to take part in an experiment that lets viewers who have missed programmes catch up with the action online.

The corporation's interactive Media player (iMP) pilot is looking to recruit 5,000 participants from around the UK.

The iMP will allow people to download TV and radio programmes for up to seven days after broadcast. The trial is set to start in September and will last three months. People who are interested in joining the trial can email, supplying their name, contact details, age and postcode.

I don't know if there are still places left - this offer was released on the 16th.

The full BBC press release is located here.
