Big Brother 2008

I thought (or was it hoping) they weren't going to do another. Isn't it later than usual this year?

Can't wait - I've given up trying to be "highbrow" about BB and will enjoy getting suckered into the lives of the empty; the frivoulous and the downright weird for the next 10 weeks or whatever of my life - otherwise i wont be able to join in office chit chat!

I really can't decide what to do ths time. I didn't watch the last one, but I fear I may get sucked in this time just to see if they have changed anything about it at all apart from th decor in the house.

I would also like to be in the "I'm-not-going-to-watch-it-this-year" gang. Alas, that probably isn't strictly true... :ninja:

I'm going to try very hard not to watch it this year. I'm getting better at not watching it every year.

I haven't watched this programme for years and there's only about 3 series that I have watched, but not because of any intellectual snobbery or lofty ideals about what the programme stands for. It's simply that for me, there's about a 3 week window which represents the optimum time to get "hooked" on Big Brother and if I don't watch during that time, the whole spectacle passes me by.

I actively avoid watching for the first couple of weeks as there are too many people being insane and competing for the camera's attention, which I find irritating.

By weeks 3-6 it's usually settled down though and you start to get a sense of the true personalities. At that point, BB has the potential to be watchable and if I start watching then, I'll usually get hooked.

However, I often forget.

If it gets to the 8 week mark without me watching, I've missed too much and there's no point in starting.
