Big Brother/Freeview

I am probably the last to know this but I have just found out that you can get 24/7 coverage of Big Brother (even when E4 goes to "Friends" or some other useless program) by entering 705 as the channel number. I didn't even know it went up to 705!! I know that once I get up to about 40 it just turns into radio stations so I've never bothered.

Anyway, once you get to 705 you will get a white screen saying to tune into E4 but you will still hear the voices.

To get rid of the white screen you go to your menu - configure - Sub-titles and turn the subtitles on. This gets rid of the white screen and, strangely, no sub-titles appear on that page either.

I can't believe that I've only found this out in the last week! Did everyone else know about this? Please tell me I'm not the last to know this :ninja:

Didn't know that Crit, as I don't have freeview, but on Sky on E4, when other programs are on you just press the red button, go interactive and can get live coverage that way.

I don;t think my dad knows Crit ... if that makes you feel better! Mind he is 71 and has zero interest in anything to do with E4 ESPECIALLY Big Brother!

Never mind dear, you'll know for next year!

... i only came online to visit Delia's site for tips on how to season a frying pan ...

The red button thingy works in Freeview as well as Sky Critique.
With E4 channel selected pressing the red button will bring up BB live, without the white screen but with the text messages at the botton of the screen. Pressing the green button will take you back to E4.
