Bush Tucker Trials - Would you or wouldn't you?

I thought it might be interesting to hear what SO members collectively think is the worst BTT so far.

Imagine that you were chosen to do all the BTTs. There are no cameras, no charities, no fees involved just your team mates relying on you to earn stars so that they can have a decent meal instead of beans and rice again. They aren't going to starve if you say no and they'll be out in a fortnight or less anyway, but their moral will be boosted and their stomachs less noisy if you bring home the bacon.

So, would you or wouldn't attempt the BTTs we've had up to now, and tell me whether you would attempt the trials as they come up. At the end of it, we can add them up and see what we're most phobic about.

Are we really a load of sissies who wouldn't be prepared to do what we're asking the celebs to do? In my case the answer is a resounding yes.

I can't be 100% certain how I'd react and there's a good liklihood I'd back out of them all, but this is what I think I'd try so far. (Can't remember what they were all called)

Well having held a pilots licence for a short while, and taken parachute jumps, one would think the high ones would be easy - it couldn't be farther from the truth. I developed a fear of heights, so much so that painting the house is a real grit your teeth and shake a lot affair today.
But i would have a go.
The others no problem.

I'd have a crack at all of them but would enjoy the bug ones, esspecially the eating one, the least.....The way I look at it you only get one shot at life so experience all you can! Smile

I kept pet rats for years.

A friend of my grandparents kept pet snakes (large constrictors) and was a kind of middle man or something for zoos so had all kinds of exotic breeds passing through.. some of them VERY dangerous. While the latter were kept safely out of harms' way in a special room... the pet constrictors spent an hour or two a day being left to their own devices in the front room. It was just like anyone else's house where you might have 2 or 3 dogs/cats wandering about.... cept this one had a 9' boa and a couple of pythons slithering around.

As a result of the above... I'm completely unphased by either of those creatures so would happily do any trials involving them. There'd still be an element of apprehension since either could deliver a nasty bite if aggravated or feeling threatened.

As for bugs... it depends on the bugs. The "creepy crawly" factor doesn't really bother me.. but I don't like to be bitten or stung any more than the next person. IF I were among the celebs and had to do trials I think my "fear" of dissappointing my comrades coupled with not wanting to starve until the following day would overcome any fear of bitey bugs.

By far the WORST trial, IMO, is the one Nat & Sophie and Katie/Kerry last year were subjected to. The bug-EATING one! EEEEEEUUUUUUWWWWWW! *GAG* I'd HAVE to be in the same situation as the celebs to find out for sure how I'd do.... cuz in any other circumstances NO WAY would I attempt to eat anything that was still alive. As well as the natural repugnance I have some moral reservations about it too. Like Sophie, I'd probably attempt the kanga-nad cuz ya just never know until you try. The same "never know" theory would apply to the puke-fruit. I'd be more averse to the fish-eye cuz I have a preconceived notion as to how foul that'd be. I can only repeat that I'd have to be in the same situation to know for sure. Anything Nat can do........ lol.
