Chick Lit! (One for the girls)

I have a fairly eclectic bookshelf, but most of it is of the chick lit variety..and I know I'm not alone. Wink

So who are your favourite authors? Best books? Novels you started but couldn't finish?

Let's all hail Bridget and co. Big Grin

.....I'm more Phil Collins than Jackie, but he doesn't write romance - he sings it...

Well that's a matter of opinion.

Nah, he has done some good stuff, credit where credit is due.

I'm not a big fan - just a fan of a few of his songs.

I don't like chick lit, or that is to say I never read it these days. Although I am currently reading Chocolat - I'm not sure if that's classed as chick lit.

I'm much more poncy and prefer "classics". My favourite author is probably George Orwell

... i only came online to visit Delia's site for tips on how to season a frying pan ...

I haven't actually read 'Chocolat', for some reason it just doesn't appeal to me.

George Orwell..now that's freaky, the last thing I listened to this morning was 'Sexcrime (1984)' by the Eurythmics. Nothing at all to do with this thread but a coincidence nonetheless. Big Grin

Oooh, chicklit, I had loads.

Bridget Jones is obviously up there with the gods, but apart from that, I never miss a Marian Keyes.

Marian Keyes is one of my favourites, and her new one's out in paperback next month. Big Grin

I especially enjoyed her books about the Walsh girls.
