Chocolate Fountain - Help Needed!

Help!!! I have got a chocolate fountain for our school Christmas Fair which takes place tomorrow night.

It says that the best kind of chocolate is couverture chocolate - can you buy this chocolate in Sainsbury's etc.

It also says that you can use ordinary milk/dark chocolate and put in some vegetable oil.

Has anyone got a chocolate fountains - what chocolate works best?!

I still have to get the marshmallows and fudge plus finish making items for my own stall - I just can't believe it has come round so quick - where has the time gone!??!!!

Marshmellows .... fudge. Cor blimey, i think i might have to come to the school :applause:

Chocolate fountains are very retro arent they, but i cant offer any advice as i would rather eat a slab of chocolate than have it runny. Unless its over ice cream, then runny is very good indeed :wink2:

I'm not perfect, but im so close it scares me

The fair went very well, Bonnie! It was a great night and was really busy which was excellent news all round. We made about £1500 for the school and I personally made £350 plus got 2 parties booked and 2 custom-made orders.

This was the first time we had done a fair and it was my suggestion and I was really worried just in case it didn't take off but honestly I never stopped! Luckily there was still some chocolate left at 9.15, so I managed to grab a stick with marshmallows & fudge and boy, it was well worth the wait! I am definitely thinking about buying one for the house - Tescos are doing them for half-price (£15) at the moment. We justs used normal milk chocolate melted in the microwave and then put in some vegetable oil to make it runny.

I spoke to the other stall holders and everyone had a really good night and have already signed up to do it next year, so looks like it will be a annual event!

The downside to me selling so much is that I have a party tonight and tomorrow night plus a craft fair on Saturday, so I have been pretty much nose to the grindstone yesterday & today. Still it's a happy downside if you know what I mean!
