Does anyone know why new threads are lost?

Hello survivors

Recently I have tried at least twice on this section to post a new thread.
Both times my thread has been lost.
I am not one for giving up even though I have found it annoying.
Earlier today I successfully managed to post some replies to a thread about christmas skins for this website, but failed to post on a new thread within soapbox.

Has this happened to you?

I have logged in fine, but don't know if I will be asked to log in again?

Nope, the forum has been working like clockwork for me. How about anyone else?

Hi Maureen,
I received your reply to my email. I suspect you don't have cookies activated on your browser.
Cookies are little files put on your computer so the web site can remember your settings.
To activate... in your browser click Tools > Internet Options > Privacy. Then select an option of allowing cookies.
Also lack of cookie acceptance may be why you are having to re-login. When you do log in, it can help if you click the "remember me" box.

Do you have a firewall program in place? If you do, this may also need settings changed in order to allow cookies.

Also you shouldn't navigate around the site using your browser's "back" button as you will receive errors and blank pages.
Are you clicking the "Submit New Thread" button once you have typed out your new thread message?
Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs!

Hello haydon

I think the problem must lie in firewall, I've checked everything else out.

Having said that I've become a night owl posting some replies to a few areas of interest. So will check things again later.

Please don't apologise. theres no need. I am probably doing more than one habitual wrong. A bit like drivers, who use their clutch. Also I am stubborn. But I do not give up.

Thank you. You've been great.
