One thing really p***es me off with ebay is the postage. They charge you say, £2.50 and then the frank is only 50p, how much is an envelope for goodness sake. Just trying to make more money out of you, I think its dead sneaky.

I think most people display the postage on the page don't they? And if they don't you can always ask them about it before deciding whether to bid or not.

IOW, there's a fair few ebayers here. See Ebay thread

MariaRob, you are also paying for packaging, time it takes to parcel it etc. I have just sent a load of stuff that I sold, and let me tell you most of them got a BARGAIN!! I had to wash & iron all the clothes, fold them all up, parcel them up neatly, address & label them, take them to the Post Office, so it is just not the costs of postage that is taken into account.

Ebay now show you postage before you finally make your bid so you have a choice. Generally postage is a lot less than if you buy from a company its just you notice it more as it is an individual and not a faceless retailer. See what you are charged if you buy something from a big retailer it is way more than a £2.00 margin.
