Feeling brave?

For anyone who's seen the (actually not half bad) "Exorcism of Emily Rose", this may be of interest.

The film was based on the real life story of German student Annalise Michael, who's actual "possession" was recorded. And here's a sample of the actual recording, along with genuine pictures of Annalise as her illness (or whatever it was) began to take its toll.

Verdict?

Don't abuse children, or else they'll turn out like me.

So you don't buy the whole "possessed" thing then?

It's not really a matter of 'buying' it or not buying IT, whatever it is.

I'm just not a so called 'expert' in demonic possessions, exorcisms or mental illness and so not in a educated position to call whether or not she was faking it, or was perhaps epileptic or psychotic, or she got a visit from the very divil himself.

Very sad either way.

I watched the "Exorcism of Emily Rose". The film was rubbish, but the true story behind it was disturbing.

I have seen a lot of footage regarding exorcism's - and i believe it. But then i believe in a lot of things that others dont, like ghosts etc ..

I'm not perfect, but im so close it scares me

I can't see anything on your link Slips.

That Emily Rose clip is creepy stuff though - glad I wasn't watching it at home, late at night. And I hope none of the stuff she was saying invites any unwanted visitors to where I am now!

I've vaguely heard of the Emily Rose story before. At the time, opinion was divided about whether she was possessed or mentally ill, but I'm inclined to think she was suffering from some mental disturbance myself. I find the idea of possession archiac - backward even. You never hear of possessions these days and in previous centuries a lot of "possessed" people, if examined now, would be found to be suffering from illnesses such as epilepsy or schizophrenia. This was in the 1970's though, so fairly recent history. I know she had staunchly Catholic parents, and I just hope that they consulted doctors to rule out mental illness before they contacted a Priest/Exorcist.

Either way, poor woman. Whatever was going on with her, she was clearly suffering.

If at first you don't succeed, failure may be your style.
