Garfield - minus Garfield.

One of the most surreal things I've seen on the net in a long time is a new series of comic strips that centre on Jon, totally editing Garfield out of the story. The point?

in order to reveal the existential angst of a certain young Mr. Jon Arbuckle. It is a journey deep into the mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness and depression in a quiet American suburb.

And so..

Some of it works, some of it doesn't. But it's far-out concept has even made people relate Jon's "condition" to bi-polar disorder, which gives the whole thing far more weight.

Anyway, The Curmudgeon bows to this twisted genius. Here's the site..
