Going cold turkey ... well at least for a week!

I have decided to have a week off from the computer and the tv, after BB has finished. I don't know if I can do it and if you notice me online feel free to say

"na na na - knew you couldn't do it"!!!

has anyone else ever intentionally gone cold turkey and not used the SO forum? or when people are away for any length of time is it just circumstances?

Of course i wont be able to read any replies to this thread until next Sunday .... also of course I realise there may be no other replies - it wouldn't be my first replyless thread!!!

... i only came online to visit Delia's site for tips on how to season a frying pan ...

I don't know!!! but it's quite exciting isn't it ... how will I feel my evenings? I might read the paper all the way through or read a book or take a bit of notice of my son ... who knows what opportunities are out there!!! :cool2:

On the other hand I may not make it past the first hurdle and could well be on here at 8.00am tomorrow!!

JESUS!!! I thougt you wern't going to drink for a week!!!
Record is about 5 days since I was 16.

Apart from that I could set my mind to anything....I managed to stop smoking 2 years ago after a 25 year 20 a day habit....the second vice to drink. So below that I could manage anything.

You will be fine.

PS

Do you want my postal address???

If I were you Dol, I would settle down with a good book - War and Peace should just about fill the void for you!
