Gordon says waste less food

on the day he sits down to lunch and dinner and is served a total of 24 courses over both meals.

Is it just me, or is he just the second biggest buffoon, currently striding to world stage?

There really is very little point visiting this place any longer.

But he's a chef right so wouldn't he want us to eat lots... [I'm confused]

I know he thinks a lot of himself but I would hardly consider a chef to be striding onto the world stage? [really really confused]

I take it you are talking about the sumptuous meals served at the G8 summit? If you are, whilst I'm no fan of Gordo, to be fair it wasn't his decision to eat so elaborately - the menu(s) were the choice of his Japanese hosts. Apparently, a government spokesman stated that Gordo "was embarassed" about the level of extravagance....especially since the headline discussion item at the G8 summit was "world hunger" or something.

Personally I'm a little more hacked off at Gordon's patronising advice about how we - as a nation - can cut down on food wastage and save money on groceries. Apparently, one pearl of wisdom from Gordon is that if we put our fruit and veg in the fridge, then they will last longer. Golly, I didn't know that until Gordon told me!

Does he really think that we are so backward that we don't realise that keeping stuff cold prolongs it's lifespan?

When Mr Figg read that piece of advice his only comment was "what a c***t!

I think you and Mr Figg might share a similar political viewpoint Grouch.

It's not politics Figgs, it's common sense.

Sure, he may have been embarassed by the level of extravagance, but not nearly as embarassed as he should have been by blurting out his instructions on food indulgence before checking his schedule for the rest of the day.

It's so typical of this nannying Labour government......."dont waste food, dont waste fuel, dont waste energy!"

It's as if he's saying it's our fault that oil is at $140 per barrel, it's our fault that global food prices are rising and it's our fault that 11 years of financial stability are at an end!

Bollox! He rode the wave of economic stability that global low interest rates and the Asian economic miricale delivered (completely coincidentaly) and when it came to a shuddering halt, he hadn't saved a fúcking bean.....not a penny! He's spent the lot on high profile, pointless gestures!

The man is a total buffoon and is very, very bad for this country!

you beat me to it Slipper - I was just going to post the menu!!!

Its time these world leaders started to practice what they preach!!!!! what an insult to the "normal" people, who are in the middle of a credit crunch, some losing their homes, some unable to feed their families, and that is just in the west - without counting the poverty in Africa, Asia and South America etc......and then you have the lot who CAN afford it all on a freeloading feast costing MILLIONS :wallbash: the greedy ****wits

its the hypocricy and double standards that **** me right off!!!! :evilmad:
