So excited but my 4 year old Abbie, is going to be Mary at the Nursery Nativity this year!

It's sad that mum won't be able to see her and I know on the day I am going to be so emotional, so I better stock up on my Bach's Rescue Remedy!!

Its nice to hear that a traditional nativity play is being acted out at your daughters school Bella. It seems that most schools are doing plays where a lobster or a squid is playing the lead character :shocking:

Anyway - congrat to your daughter bella .... im sure she will be a star.

I'm not perfect, but im so close it scares me

Aww bless - good for her!

I always get a lump in my throat when I hear little children singing in a choir or watch them acting in a play. And if I do, heaven knows what its like for the parents.

Bring some tissues and eye drops.

Kids in London don't get the opportunity to be Joseph or Mary, shepherds or kings

Political bleedin' correctness gestapo

Mind you the plays they did put on were always a right giggle. The Snow white one they did boardered on smut

Do you have to make the costumes or are the school doing it with your tea towels?

The ironic thing about life is that no one gets out alive...Huh

The nursery is doing the traditional play, which is nice as like or not that is what Christmas is supposed to be about.

The kids make all their costumes themselves with the help of the teachers and they have great fun!

She had already thrown a bit of diva strop as she is not happy with the choice of Joseph!

My friend who is a teacher was telling us about the time her old school done their nativity play and Joseph and Mary came to the Inn and asked for room and they were told by the Innkeeper to "***** off and there wasn't any room and that it wasn't fair as he wanted to be Joseph" and then threw Joseph a punch! Lovely eh?

Once they get to school, that's when the lobster and all other kinds of weird and wonderful creatures come in to it, which is really sad!

And I doubt we'll even be able to video-record it as it goes against council guidelines!
