Help needed with jeans!

Does anyone know how to fray jeans? I want to cut off the bottom of the legs (I am a shortarse) and have a fringe of fraying around the bottoms of them as the rest of the jeans have frayey bits on them.

Any ideas?

I do this all the time, you of posh flooring.

Cut off about an inch longer than wanted...the with sharp scissors cut in about half/1/4 of an inch...depending on the length of fray desired. Make each cut about 5 mill apart for a true frothy fray...bigger if a more rough cut is desired.

Then wash them in the machine as normal and a lovely fluffy frey will appear.

I love it too...I am not of the long leg brigade and used to spend hours turning up my jeans and trousers....I just love this "tatty" look.

If you want an unbroken fray keep the cuts close together and not too deep.

This is the method I use for denim shorts; first buy a pair of cheapy jeans, a size to big, cut off about 5/6 inches down, fray and woo woo.

PS Tummy needs to be tanned to show this off to the best. With a tight t shirt..its a time less image.

Oh so laugh at this of one of posh flooring and posh fraying talents!!! LOL - I haven't needed to do this - I have the erstwhile other problem of making jeans become longer - I use a magic wand and you know it never works!!!

I always cook with wine, and sometimes I actually put it in the food.

Marmy wishing only works between the ages of 7 and 12 - so too late hon for that wish. I was a bit warped at that age, however, so no ponies for me - just long legs!!

I always cook with wine, and sometimes I actually put it in the food.
