I'm back Woo hooo !!

Hi all,
had a great time in Scotland, stayed in Drumnadrochit, The Scottish people were so friendly to us and the old couple we stayed with at the B&B were completely bonkers but so sweet, they had us in fits of laughter with their tales about the local townsfolk, took a boat trip on Loch Ness but did,nt see Nessie Haaaaaa! and had a day trip across to the Isle of Skye, Hubbie really enjoyed his 40th birthday out there, but God the stress coming back home, we had decided to take a de tour to Fort William on the last day and got lost somehow, an accident blocked the road we wanted to take so we ended up missing the plane home!!! had to pay another £180.00 to fly on the next one, anyway got to Bristol airport to collect the jeep and found it had a flat tyre, no worries we have a spare on the back of jeep, put that on, that was flat too :ranting: drove at a snails pace to the petrol station to get some air for tyres, they told us they had sold out !!!!!!!

I tell you i know exactly how Jim Carreys Character felt in Bruce Almighty, i wanted to do a moony to the heavens.

anyway it goooooood to be back. Smile

Welcome back Bridge :bye:

I'm glad you and your hubby had a good time celebrating his 40th Birthday! Sorry to hear your journey home was an expensive nightmare, but at least he wont be able to forget his 40th in years to come :ninja:

Glad to hear you had a great time, Bridge! Drumnadrochit - what a fab sounding Scottish name that is, did you manage to get your English round it?!

Nessie was probably on her holidays, it gets a bity chilly this time of year maybe she is seeking out warmer climates.

I have never been to Skye, would love to go though!

Bummer about you missing your flight and your flat tyre though but hope it didn't spoil your holiday too much!

Good to have you back! Smile

ooh welcome back.
I'd find it hard to leave Scotland.
Hey..'Drumnadraiocht'..that sounds VERY like the irish.
In Irish that would literally mean 'the magic fort'...
'Drum' is a fort...
and 'draiocht' is magic.
It sounds too similar to be a coincidence.
