Metaphysical Question

At what point do science and religion meet?

(Not that I'm expecting any serious answers)

Metaphysical Question
Down the old Apostle and Testtube?

I don't know SF. Religion for me is all myth and fiction anyway, so I can't see how it could be set against science.

They're often treated as two separate camps, I sometimes wonder if there's a place where they overlap; it would be an interesting area to explore.

Well there's religious thinking and scientific thinking, there might be a place where they come close.

Surely the more closely you look at both, the further they move apart?

It's by Dan Brown, as you probably know. I read this instead of The Da Vinci code, because it was the only one they had at the airport last summer.

It's based around exactly the question you asked.

No, I didn't know, although I did read the Da Vinci Code. I will certainly seek it out.

Going back the the question, they do both seem to have one thing in common, the search for some kind of 'essence' or truth of things, although the one seems based on the physical, the other on the spiritual, but I do wonder if there's a place where both these things meet, as they are simply ways of looking at the world.
