Nails Ahoy!

What is the fashion here then...for years I have just clipped them off and smoothed off with a plane.

However...mine have grown like loonies and are quite long (we are talking almost 2mm), what should I do with them? Everyone seems to do this blunt thing or are they just bought from "Nail Express" in the high street.

What is nail etiquette now a days....rounded or falsy blunt....or clipped.

I don't want Irish people laughing at me

It'll take more than fashionable nails. Just keep your hat on and don't wear wellies with a mini skirt. That'd be a good start. :bye:

Either is fine Cat - it just depends on your personal preference.

Personally I like the blunt, squared off look, but I never do my nails like that myself. For one thing, your nails do need to be quite long to carry it off, and I don't like my nails to be too long. They just get in the way of my life - I can't type as quickly and I have to find weird ways to pick up small items like coins etc. Plus, they are high maintenance - if they break they look rubbish and it makes the rest of the nails look odd, so you've got to look after them.

So, I go for neat, slightly rounded fingernails. Long enough to be feminine, but no so long that they are a nusiance. I french polish them so they look well kept, but not fussy.

I like to keep things simple but elegant, me.

If at first you don't succeed, failure may be your style.

I prefer mine rounded, I've tried the blunt style and it just didn't feel right for me. I keep mine quite short as they aren't very strong and if they get too long they break and split

I'm more concerned about Patsy poo pooing my welly boots /mini skirt look. Its very boho hippy chic - just think Gastonbury, they were all at it!

In fact I think I might sharpen them into points and dig them in her face on friday.
