'Plot to blow up planes' foiled

BBC News

BBC News Wrote:Transparent bags

The Department for Transport set out the details of the security measures at UK airports.

Passengers will not be allowed to take any hand luggage on to any flights in the UK, the department said.

Only the barest essentials - including passports and wallets - will be allowed to be carried on board in transparent plastic bags.

Great, guess who's flying with 4 kids on Saturday? :glare:

All inbound flights to Heathrow have been cancelled unless they are in the air already. All outbound flights have been cancelled also. Apparently 20 planes were targetted. Could you just imagine what would happen if this was successful? The 18 people they have arrested are British Muslims.

Passengers are being asked to check in most items of baggage, apart from wallets and purses, identity and travel documents, prescription medicines, spectacles and sunglasses and keys. Those travelling with children will be allowed items essential for caring for them on the flight.
Phew, that's all right then :glare:

I find it all quite shocking.

Four children.

My personal in-flight nightmare. They should be checked in for transit in containers :bag:
