Pub singers - Ray! The best of them all

What a fantastic pub singer Ray is! Every time he comes on you can just hear him crooning away to "New York" "My Way" "Strangers in the night" and all the rest of those tunes. Sinatra he is not. Its agony to watch him and purgatory to listen to him. Why is he still there? Bless.

I quite agree.
And by the way (sorry if this has been covered elsewhere) but wasn't he on Brookside? Therefore, shouldn't he be classed as a "professional entertainer"? I thought this was against the rules.

That's what I think too, Peej, but don't think he's a "pub singer". If he had been around in the 70s, he would have been known as an "entertainer", but he certainly shouldn't be on this, imo. Having said that, I do like him.

There has been some editorials of late which is suggestive that Ray and Eton Road have also cheated to get on the X factor programme. But unless these papers can actually print up the management agreements signed with witnesses than neither act have a professional contract.
