Queueing for Petrol

Dear me....I had to get petrol today...I was down to only 4 litres so went along to my usual garage for a top-up......they'd sold out of unleaded!!

All these blooming people panic-buying are causing real problems....the roads on the way to work today were a nightmare because of people queueing at garages!!

I had to go to another garage where I had to queue for 20 minutes (this one had run out of diesel!).

Madness!!

I had a long queue to sit in this morning, when I got to the pumps they were all out of normal unleaded, I had to fill up with premium (or is it super - they both sound the same to me) but even so many of the pumps were out of both, and the assistant said they had no idea of when their next delivery would be, because the national demand was so high, they had no way if the suppliers would be able to deliver anything at all.

There was a report on Westcountry Live at lunchtime saying similar! Mr I is working in Lyme Regis this week so it is imperative he has fuel, thankfully though, after reading on here about it all at the weekend, I told him to fill up yesterday which he did relatively easily, but judging on the reports on local news, panic buying is going to be the norm!!!!!!

And the difference between you and other "panic-buyers" was what exactly?

According to our local news - there have been relatively few queues in petrol stations, there are none at our very local garage at all, in fact Mick said that only about 20 people had filled up all day!!

Surely the difference was that she was down to only 4 litres!

Apparently some people are topping up when they have over 3/4 of a tank left.

Doesn't seem to be a major problem up here though!

It's ridiculous isn't it. The blockades haven't even started yet!
