So how can we breathe life into SO?

Hello everybody,

I have just taken a look at the home board and as I was curiously checking for dates of last posts, I have realised that there have been very few posts.

These days when logging in there is only 4 or 5 in the today's posts and around 8 - 10 in unread.

When I logged in today there were three of us online.

It does seem very quiet as most times when I logg in I'm it.

So can we start shaking a leg and breathe new life into SO or you want it to fizzle out?

I just don't think anyone cares enough any more NA. People do still log on, but personally, I rarely log-on expecting to spend more than a few minutes here and I'd guess that's the way many others feel. Gone are the days when people would log on for "5 minutes" and stay for 2 hours! The fact is hardly anyone ever posts. There's probably lots of reasons for that, but it doesn't make for an interesting site.

This has been going on for months and by now most people have found other ways to spend their time. SO just isn't anyone's priority any more and I can't help thinking that the time for change has passed. Nobody knows "how to breathe new life" into the forum and after all this time I'm not sure that anyone would make the effort to do it even if they did.

Perhaps its just time to let it go. It's sad in a way, but that's life.

Hello Floopy,

I've never known what groundhog day is, so could you be so kind as to explain?

Mo, it was the name of a film with Bill Murray. Look it up and it should explain what floopy meant. Meanwhile, lets stick to the original thread about the future of SO, shall we? No point having two threads for the majority of the board to ignore, is there?

Personally I like Groundhogs and love Groundhog Day but I also enjoy watching Squirrels:bag:
