Swear Filtering

I have noticed that people can use the word 'crap', but nearly every other swear word is banned.

Why is this :wink2:

This may seem like a dumb question but why are they filtered? Aren't most of you adults?

Because Jakeyboy, contrary to popular opinion, not every adult swears or enjoys hearing people swear. Smile

Edited to say that it also is there to protect some young people that might venture on to the site.

Yes we are Jakey, but not everyone is (I can think of at least one that is isn't :bye: )

Personally I like that we have a swear filter, as although I have been known to swear occasionally, I don't like to see swear words in print.

Bonnie - perhaps Haydon doesn't see 'crap' as a swear word. I personally don't think of it in the same way as some swear words.
