The Welsh - You gotta larf at 'em

Were they all queing outside the same village phone boxes?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/7147931.stm

Quote:A group of radio stations in Wales - including Bridgend's Bridge FM, Swansea Bay Radio, Radio Carmarthenshire and Radio Pembrokeshire - said they would ban Leon's Christmas single over the voting.

Are they so F'g stupid... If they had trouble then surely the people voting for the wee lad MIGHT have had the same problem but are just not making a fuss

I HAVE THE SOLUTION

BAN BOTH OF THEM :boxing:

FROM EVERYTHING/EVERYWHERE

BAN X FACTOR
BAN CELEB BALLROOM DANCING/CELEB DANCING ON ICE/CELEBS IN THE JUNGLE/NEXT F'G MODEL (American/British/Rumanian/Iranian/whatever)/CELEBS IN THE KITCHEN/CELEBS IN THE HOUSE

JUST BAN CELEB PROGRAMMES FULL BLEEDIN' STOP

[No apology for caps lock as I WAS screaming that very loud in my head]

The ironic thing about life is that no one gets out alive...Huh

Well said Slipper! Have to say have people got nothing better to do with their lives than phone to complain about about voting on a reality TV programme!

Lorraine Kelly said she tried to vote for Leon and couldn't get through, so there you go it does cut both ways!

And as for banning the single.............I wish Radio Forth would do the same, it is bluddy awful. I never heard Rhydian singing it but the song is just so dreary!

Slipper,

You either like reality TV programmes or you don't.

Every year there is always talk of some scandal when viewers can't get their votes registered.

The intrigue makes the end result that little bit more interesting.

Boring song whoever sings it.

The industry has produced in the last 20 years to many boring fart songs and boring fart singers.

They need to start looking in the old fashioned way to get decent artists like those of the past. Ralph Mctell, Barbara Dixon and loads more never entered a talent show in their lives, instead they performed in the most difficult of environments, clubs and pubs some even on the street. This was the way forward 20 years and more ago.

Whatever happened to the talent searchers?

Did I ever mention that I once stage managed Ralph McTell :whistling:

What's so funny about peace, love and understanding?

Hello Rob,

I don't recall reading it anywhere Rob, but I'm sure you did a great job.

I do remember reading that you have interests in theatre and music and I also remember reading from a few of the profiles that one or two other members of the forum have interests in this area aswell.

Maybe you should share your experiences if you want to, I'm sure they are bound to make interesting reading. I'd love to read of them as I have a greater love for those artists of the past than those of today.

Have a lovely Christmas Rob.
