War of the Worlds

I went to see it a couple of weeks go and really enjoyed it. I love sci-fi stuff though, so I'm probably a bit biased. Special effects and music were brilliant.

War of the Worlds - Great film - go see. (if it's still on near you)

I saw this a few weeks ago as well H, and although I am not a great fan of sci-fi, I really enjoyed it.

Yeh, me too PJ.
I watched this yesterday and found it all a bit slow and was disappointed with it.
The special effects were great, when they were on, but I think it spent too much time on following Tom Cruise's character and his family, all a bit sloppy for me, and not enough on what/who the aliens were and what did they want.
And then near the end of the film, the aliens just started dying...huh....what was that all about.

Yeh, disappointed to say the least.

War of the Worlds
Being old enough to remember the first "War of the Worlds" and the TV series which ran for two seasons in the 80s, I really wanted to like this new film.
And I did!
I'm not a big Tom Cruise fan, but he did OK in the lead role, and the special effects were very good.

I do like a bit of Sci Fi.... Wink

Old enough to know better... :whistling
