What the butler saw

The press seem to be going nuts over what Paul Burrell said...

"He told fellow reality show contestant, comedian Joe Pasquale: "I caught her (the Queen) once in her sitting room wearing the imperial crown."

He added: "She was practising wearing it for the opening of Parliament.

"She was sat there with her crown on and her pink, fluffy slippers."

Do you think he really did witness this, or did he know how much coverage it would get.

I knew this would be in the papers tomorrow when I heard him say this - who honestly cares? Huh

I think he said it so as to 'give' Joe something in the spirit of friendship. Psychologist have studied friendship and it always features 'disclosures' from each party, usually in turn. In telling Joe this (whether it was true or not) he was attempting to bring him closer in friendship terms.

The queen wears a crown and fluffly pink slips !! now if he'd said she was wearing a crown and had each foot up a butler it might be news worthy - the media making big of it just shows how lacklustre the whole thing is at the mo. No doubt the powers that be will keep him in as long as possible, purely for little snippets like this that will whip the media into a frenzy, hence promoting more viewers and a carrot to the paying advertisers, keep him in I say only coz l need more "Phillip, Phillip .... that dreadful ... " from Ant - class !!!!!!!

Some mornings it just doesn't pay to gnaw through the leather straps . [Image: badgersm.gif]

I chuckled when I heard him say this. I though here we go then.
Bit sad though isn't it that out national newspapers have nothing better to spread on the front page that "queen wears slippers" and "Queen wears (her) crown" Gosh whatever next? Do you think she wears a bra (yikes me head!) :excl:

The winner says it may be difficult but it is possible; the loser says it may be possible but it is too difficult
:yahoo: He's here!
