Where's everyone going for their holidays?

I'm off for a week (yes a whole fun filled week!) in Butlins at Bognor with Maxine and her family and me and my son.

It should be a good laff as the kids - all now teenagers will be able to go off and please themselves without getting into TOO much trouble ... and the growed ups will be able to please themselves and get into LOADS of trouble!

how about anyone else?

... i only came online to visit Delia's site for tips on how to season a frying pan ...

tunisia is less than half the price - £280 - so that might be a runner. Never been there before.

Tunisia is nice, TE. Whereabouts?

We're off to France (again), about half way down, for two whole weeks. Going with Mr P's sister and her family. The kids are younger, but we all get on really well and have holidayed (?) together before. We've got a lovely big house with fantastic facilities. Really, really looking forward to it.

Looks Like Tokyo AGAIN ! Sad

I was back in London for 2 weeks for some meetings but now got to go back and it looks unlikely that I'll be out of Japan until mid September.

AND the trip to Panama is looking less likely but if it does come off that will be much later in the year.

Not so happy as I've only had 3 days off so far (OK so they were spent in Venice) and I could do with a change of scenery.

The ironic thing about life is that no one gets out alive...Huh

Looking at the Kanta Hotel in Port el Kantaoui last week in September. Trip Advisor gives it good reviews.

Hoping Ramadan won't mean we can't get a beer......

Where were you? Any tips?

As it happens white water slalom was my sport for about 15yrs and I was a white water river instructor

This is NOT me but it's my old playground when I was younger

Don't look like we'll be getting a holiday this year.

We're trying to relocate my Mum in Sussex. It look like she might be moving to Sussex, and if everything goes according to plan she'll be moving in late August/early September so we may have to use up a sizeable amount of our holiday entitlement helping her through that process. Oh joy!

So, it might well be that the best we can look forward to - holidaywise - might be a week in Dorset with the in-laws. Don't get me wrong, I love them, and I love Dorset......but its not really my idea of a "holiday".

To make matter even worse, I was supposed to be going to the following places for work in August, September and October:

- Stamford (USA)
- Hong Kong
- Tokyo
- Singapore
- Sydney

It was all going to be for the same client - two weeks in each place. They've just cancelled all the trips except Stamford - which I've been to scores of times already and is really boring. I'm gutted.
