Which of the following underdogs will go furthest...

It's going to be a Brazil v Argentina World Cup final - that much we already know, but spare a thought for the underdogs out there. The ones who travelled to Germany and booked themselves into the plushest hotel in the region for four weeks and not two, firmly believing that they shall be the ones lifting that wonderful golden phallus come July...

It's a poll, and just so everybody can distinguish the clairvoyants from the extreme optimists here on this forum, i have activated the name source option...so you'll either be mildly embarassed or held in high esteem for your great foresight...could go either way. Multiple voting if required.

I rather liked the look of the Ivory Coast during their first match. I think they played well and showed that some of their players are more than a little talented!

I've plumped for them too, Coaster. Mainly because I know a few of them already play top flight club football.

...and what's this?...what's this?...Ghana and Australia are coming back strong. This is by no means a three-horse (Ecuador, Mexico, South Korea) race...:eat:

Well forecast Hayd, Maxine.:applause:

Hard lines Floop and Dolly - your mares ran out of steam i guess. I can see another three falling at the next hurdle...

The hurdle is fearsomely known as 'Argentina', and the poor little 'hoss with the sombrero' who has the unenviable task of having to overcome it before anyone else has a bash is known as 'Mexico'...

...poor poor mare...that's sporting cruelty if ever there was some...:ill:

crikey!, that was closer than i thought it would be - such a dogged attempt to overcome such a massive hurdle...

The remaining riders and the hurdles which they must overcome are as follows...

/\ <--- a symbolic but crummy representation of a hurdle

Aondeag/Northern Angel
>>>Ecuador>>>...................../\ England

Maxine
>>>Ghana>>>.................................................../\ Brazil

Haydon
>>>Australia>>>................................................/\ Italy

It's not going to be easy, and the likelihood is they shall bravely fall in the manner that Mexico did last night...:good:

not to worry - it was every bit as brave a fall as Mexico's was!

...now it's Maxine out there all on her own...the race is yours to lose! (unfortunately it's going to be easier to lose than to win):ill:
