As far as I am concerned it is the C U next tuesday word.

I have just had a great debate with Dave over why that is not acceptable but prick is.............I don't know why but prick is ok but the other is most definately not.

What word(s) do you find unacceptable in daily usage?

Yes, same for me Jayc. Although, when used correctly, it can be very funny.

I wish I could say, there is no circumstance when I consider this correct cos I truly believe it is a dreadful word but when an VERY close friend used it recently in a joke, I laughed like a drain at the joke then had a go at his language..............he pointed out my hypocrisy & I had to concede but I still don't like it.

I'm not offended by any words in themselves - but sometimes the way they are said can be offensive.

E.g. I would be just as offended to be called a "cow" as a "c**t" if the motive for saying it was to hurt or offend me. But I doubt that either word would offend me if they were said in a jokey way.

Having said that though, I do find it very distasteful to hear kids saying swear words.

If at first you don't succeed, failure may be your style.

C U word for me too. Hate it and don't ever use it. Swear like a trooper with all other words, just not that one.

Don't like the word fag either. Don't know why just really hate it, in either context.

Did hate the word tit too, but kinda got over that now.. :bag:

I hate the CU word too and have never used it other than when telling a joke and I still have to spell it out as I can't bring myself to say it. I can't remember ever hearing a woman use this word other than in a joke.

I really should get over it as I use every other swear word without even thinking about it although I try not to if the kids are about.

No not even there Patsy I have never written it down intentionally but I have said before sometimes if I write my son Clint's name down and foget to dot the I it looks like the CU word. A lot of people have told me that when I write my xmas cards I should be more careful.

Sorry but that made me laugh "happy christmas, love from ****!! If they know the rest of the family, then your signatures are within a context so I wouldnt worry about changing your writing!
