Your Birthday star.

I think this is cool.

It shows you a star that is the same in light years away as the day you where born, therefore a star the same age as you, and the light you are seeing has taken your lifetime to get here!

What is your birthday star?

Your Birthday Star:

Your birthday star is in the constellation Mensa. It has the name α (Alpha) Mensae in Johann Bayer's Uranometria star catalog. It is called NS 0610-7445 in the NStars database.

It has visual magnitude 5.07 meaning that you could just see this star with the naked eye under the best viewing conditions. It is marked in the center of this star chart, at celestial coordinates (J2000 equinox):

Right ascension 6:10:14.5
Declination -74:45:11

Hmm yes...I understand all of this perfectly!

This star is 33.1 light years away, which means that the light we see from it today set off on its journey at about the same time that you were born. Come back in a month or two and your birthday star may change, as the light from more distant stars reaches Earth.

I'm not perfect, but im so close it scares me

What I think is odd is the fact that they didn't name it after us...just think they could have named it the Bonstie star! Huh

I guess we must be the same age or so!

Oh and I know you smell...but you don't smell funny and farting is fine but a sick belly belching problem is not pleasant!

Your birthday star is in the constellation Mensa Is this why we're so smart?. It has the name Bonstie in Survivor-Online Uranometria star catalog. It is called SO 123-456 (so it's easier to remember)in the SO database.

It has visual magnitude 5.07 meaning that you could just see this star with the naked eye under the best viewing conditionsUnless of course you are as blind as a bat!. It is marked in the center of this star chart, at celestial coordinates (J2000 equinox):

Right ascension 6:10:14.5 Yeah...that helps
Declination -74:45:11 Anyone for icecream?

This star is 33.1 light years awayBut I'm only 21!, which means that the light we see from it today set off on its journey at about the same time that you were bornI say again...I'm only 21!. Come back in a month or two and your birthday star may change, as the light from more distant stars reaches Earthsurely this would make me appear older?!.
