ON Sunday c4 will screen a movie about Annabelle Chong. For those who haven't heard of her she is a porn star, and the film is about one ten hour session in which she had sex with 251 men. I can remember that two years or so ago on this MB a similar thread was started when the film was first screened. At the time there had been a thread about prostitution, where the majority of views expressed the opinion that prostitutes were victims. However, the thread starter was of the view that this was not so, and that Annabelle Chong was an example of someone in control of her life and simply enjoyed what she did. A review of this film I read recently suggested otherwise, and said it showed her as someone who was being used and exploited.

Anyway, the point being that having said all that we will be out on Sunday night and won't be watching the movie. But if anyone does, I'd be interested to hear how she comes across - as a level headed woman in control, or as an exploited victim of the porn industry.

Unfortunately I dont pick up Channel 4 in the wilderness here. I have read mixed reviews too about this women and would be interested to see how she comes across. So anyone who is watching, some feedback would be cool.

I will be watching this.

A lot of women who do things like these were raped/abused when young. For some reason they "repeat" the abuse by becoming highly promiscuous, as if being "in control" of all these men will erase the pain from when they were vulnerable and hurt.

I've seen this before. It is sordid in the extreme. This girl is clearly not mentally stable and is completely manipulated by some of the horriblest characters you are ever likely to see. She is an object, a piece of meat and completely disposable to them.

Watching it is like watching the disintegration of a human soul.

I remember the thread from last time around, but I didn't watch it, I'm not sure if I want to either. I might just read your reviews...

I wouldn't ever watch it again, it was horrible. But I am a bit prudey when it comes to porn - I just don't like it at all.

wow, that is not something that i want to witness. i hate to see people compromised in some way whether socially or mentally.
remember the film "breaking the waves" - i found that highly disturbing for similar reasons.
