I didn't join in the bookclub before - but I'd like to if it is ressurected!

I'd be up for it too, if it was started up again.

Come on guys - it is an easy job.

Just make the first choice, delegate from then on and the only thing to do is to get the nominator to write the first review.

I have literally started the Da Vinci code last night - otherwise I would volunteer. But the book club is good fun and reading books that are not on your general remit is mind expanding and experimental.

I only managed to read one book during my time in the book club last time!
If it's resurrected, I'll join in again, after my exams.

I shall try and be a part time participant...unfortunately I have about 6 books stacked in a pile just waiting for me to read them at the mo....plus another screen play to write so I will attempt to finish a book as you start one at some stage! :wink_kiss

I'm always open to new suggestions of what book to read. It's nice to be introduced to different genres in this way. For instance I never would have read Life at the Bottom which I beleive was one of Lucy's choices. I found it fascinating and liked to impress my clever friends by quoting from it from time to time!

I would like to make a suggestion, unless anyone else has a suggestion they'd like to make?

My suggestion is The Beach by Alex Garland - I havent' read it or seen the film, but I've heard it mentioned a couple of times lately and would like to read it. Anyone interested?

well if everyone agrees the book we usually have a month to read it in.

I'm also just about starting Angels and Demons and the Da Vinci code ... my friend lent them to me and i feel I have to read them before I read anything else. So if we read the book and reported back on it by about w/c 12 June? would that suit people? or am I being bossy?!

I don't mind any other book suggestion ... any ideas anyone?
