Now I am not a huge James Bond fan, but we took the boys to see this last night and I have to say I quite enjoyed it. Daniel Craig is very good in the Bond role IMO.

So it's worth a look.

I really want to see this film. I'm not a James Bond fan - I've always found those films slightly camp and dated - but I am a Daniel Craig fan. I can imagine him being much a much grittier and more believeable 007 than his predecessors. Most of the previous Bond actors seem to have got the job purely on the basis of their looks and their ability to deliver a double entendre with a straight face.

I shall be going to watch it (for my son's sake you understand!). I remember Daniel Craig from years and years ago in Our Friends from the North. He was excellent and had the best part my a mile of any of the four main actors in it.

I really loathe James Bond, but if they come on the telly Mr.B wants to watch them, so i tend to semi watch / read at the same time.

I do think Daniel Craig is sexy though, so i might give it my full attention :w00t:

I'm not perfect, but im so close it scares me

I am a huge Bond fan and not afraid to admit it...

I went up to London for the Royal'e' premiere on Tuesday last and had a fab time lining the carpet and collect a few autographs...Daniel Craig is simply gorgeous and lovely...I thnked him for signing my book and he promptly thanked me back for coming...he smiled as well and has a def twinkle in his eye...

Mads Mikkleson who plays the baddie Le Chiffe is another sweetie...he also had a bit of a chat with us mad scarey fans before moving on...:applause:

Me and my mate bagged tickets for the late performance which followed the main premier at 2330...it was a late night but my goodness it was worth it. Having enjoyed the books for anumber of years it was great to see a gritty, darker and more truthful to the books Bond back on the screens...Daniel Craig definately cuts the mustard IMHO...:applause: :applause:

I'll stop now before my hormones start racing again and I launch myself at the guy oposite me in the library!Blush

Wow Coastie, you lucky thing! Have to say when Daniel Craig was announced as Bond, I wasn't sure about him but seeing the clips he does look good!

Have never read a Bond book but let's be honest even though Pierce was good as Bond the storylines were really farcical (sp?), so for the change of direction it may be worth going to see..............if I can get a babysitter!

I went to see this, this afternoon.

My verdict:

Definitely style over substance.

A convoluted plot that was difficult to keep up with as it didn't really make an awful lot of sense. The characters weren't fleshed out enough to make you fear, loathe or love them enough. Far too much random violence and death amongst innocent bystanders.

Having said that the locations were great and Daniel Craig :wub:was hot :w00t: :naughty:

I saw him first :ranting: :evilmad:

I did have to explain the entire plot to Mama Coastie after we watched it on Friday...she did however really enjoy it dispite not getting to grips with the story. Daniel Craig may be the reason for this:naughty:

Plot was as simple as toooooo simple.......DUH!

Good balance of violence and excitement to make it a true Bond film but if you consider that it managed to have a love connection running through it

Great film though even if there was toooo much placement advertising..

I didn't spot Richard - but you're right about the product placement - it was really high profile and very very annoying. :wallbash:
