squished SO

Just got a laptop - hurrah

But on visiting SO, the pages don't display the full width of the screen, they are squished in with a 3cm blank band running down both sides.

Laptop or SO doing it? All I can say is I went to the Haunted Natterbox and that is fine. And so are all the other sites I've visited so far

My laptop is fine also SF. It sounds like it probably is something to do with your settings for your screen size on there. I have no idea how to fix that though.

What's wrong with http://www.page3.com. That's what Mr H uses......

It might be the Display settings on your laptop.

Try going to Programs, Control Panel, Display. In the Settings tab, set the screen resolution to 1024 by 768 pixels.

That might work.

If at first you don't succeed, failure may be your style.

it's already set to that.

it's only SO that's doing it.
