work sucks

i have now left higher education for a year and am hating work. why cant i be rich?? i just want a job where i can travel and earn loadsa dosh, is that alot to ask for??

really stuck in a rut and hating work at the mo, i have a patronising bitch boss who doesnt let you make your own decisions. and if i do she has something to say about it. she just does it out of spite not for the good of the shop. she says "this is your floor what do you want to do" then i tell her and whatever ive decided is not good enough.

if there is any praise going about she hogs it herself. so demotivating. like the recent mystery shop result, we got 82% which isnt bad (better than the rest of the area). on the day it happened i was running the shop, the other two managers were off, so instead of saying well done or anything to me, she faffs around like it was her who got the result!!! and if i point out it was me who was in charge that day the result isnt good enough.

sorry if im moaning and it all sounds so trivial, but the stupid moo has really got me angry these past few weeks and i really want to bash her stupid smug face in!!

She sounds like a bitch.
Have you been looking for anywhere else to work in the meantime?

Why don't you apply for a grad scheme with one of the big retailers Kooks? I'd have thought you'd be in with a great chance with your experience.

I used to run the grad programme for a national high street chain, so pm me if you think I can help. Smile

well you see i applied for the grad scheme for arcadia but they turned me down!!! they said i had excellent understanding of the role and a real competency for management BUT was too quiet during the group interview!! which is ******** coz i dont think u need to be bolshy and loud to be a good manager!!

today i am putting my cv in to these graduate things on the internet so see if they come up with anything good!
