The bad weather has destroyed my TV signal. :mad2:
I can get a very fuzzy picture with sound in the bedroon, but no sound and a dancing picture in the living room.
I don't know if it's a problem with the area or a problem on my roof, but I'm not going to investigate tonight.
You'll all have to fill me in on what's happening in soap and reality TV land. Please!
Commiserations Bob - we had no electricity most of yesterday [9 hours on the trot] or this morning [off and on]!! But you know what we had a whizzer game of Rummicub or is that Rummikub or something like that.
You will note that I said 'whizzer' - and I sound like I am speaking from the 1940's/50's and taking part in the Famous Five's superb adventures with lashings of ginger beer and ham and mustard sandwiches???
but no - scarily I have got this dreadfully saying from Rick Stein who is doing a 'food hero's' programme at the moment and I can't stop saying it - so why should yu lot be exempt from it?? I don't know why?? I don't know!!

Count your blessings Bob! My daughter has had no power for 48 hours - nor water, and it could be another 36 hours before she gets it all back! She's in Carlisle poor lass!

Oh lordy eternity - we are t'other side of the country from Carlisle and it has blitzed our local news - and I just cannot beleive it - how can a whole town be so flooded?
I am so sorry for your daughter and her neighbours - has she been flooded too?? It is bad enough being without electricity, but being without water for that length of time - must be a nightmare!!

I'm t'other side of the country too Flip, and it's doing my head in as I can't get to her - not without a boat anyway! She's not flooded, but she is marooned as she's out in the sticks near the Solway Firth and it's all flooded round her. The pics on the TV of the kids being picked up by the helicopter off the farm roof was just down the lane from her.

I hope you get your TV fixed soon! :sad:LMAO Coastie  but no need as I found out tonight that the TV ariel was lying in the street Saturday morning  I share it with two others both have sky so aren't affected. But one kind soul has been in touch with the agents to let them know. I'll have to buy a portable one for now as I don't expect it to be fixed this week.
While I should take this oppertunity to catch up on some housework and ironing or some of my homework for night school, I am instead rejoicing in the fact that I have a DVD player and I'm currently watching the bonus discs from the shawshank and then I am going to watch Chicago and then maybe have CBB without picture on in the background while I read all about it on here.
Hope all those affected by the bad weather are sorted soon! :-)

i'm feel so sorry for you lot i had no cut off on the tele
Drat! I bought an Ariel and it wasn't cheap either £25 it's one that plugs in, never seen ones like that before. Anyway it's pretty useless. I can at least get ITV but the picture is so poor it's painful, the other channels are equally as poor. Funny thing is that the TV in the bedroom can pickup channel four to some extent with no ariel, but when I plug this one in I get nothing. bizarre.
So it's better than it was but I'll just have to wait till we get a new one on the roof and hope the shop will take this one back
