View Full Version : Diet coke
I feel like I have missed something so help me out please!
Why is John's need for diet coke so great?
If you ask me, he should stay off the fizzy pop as he has way to many tantrums.
But I have missed some BB so is the diet coke symbolic or what?
floopy 10-01-2005, 08:49 PM loved the way Diet Coke managed to slip a sneaky advert in, in the second break

This is so funny and I think BB are playing it great...offering all the contestants coke and him a tomatoe juice.
"John are you going to be in a huff for the whole 2 weeks"

Andrea 10-01-2005, 09:15 PM diet coke in the diary room for all the house mates.
Tomato juice for John:laugh:
I wonder if anyone has told him, somehow I doubt it.
I noticed diet coke acted quick and got their advert in there. Although I wonder if they want someone like John advertising their goods:blink:
Oh I realy wanted one of them to let it slip that they had all been drinking diet coke, esp when he stormed out after the offer of tomato juice!!
Although goodness knows why on earth he is desperate for it - he does need it of course, but surely the amount he drinks makes him a tubby lardy bummed fatboy?? Hardly a good role model for the diet coke gurus??

Can anyone tell me why he needs it?
It is not a good advert for diet coke - I don't think I will be drinking any for a while
secrets 10-01-2005, 09:35 PM Can anyone tell me why he needs it?
We have no idea to be honest - but it would not surprise me at all if he has been 'bunged' to play up for it.:glare:

Do you think John would have the intelligence to do that?
Do you think John would have the intelligence to do that?
I do. I think he would be quite an astute businessman....just a crap housemate.
Eternity 10-01-2005, 09:42 PM However, you are all missing one thing here. John has never asked for Diet Coke, he has always asked for Diet Cola - could be Pepsi or Coke!
secrets 10-01-2005, 09:46 PM Do you think John would have the intelligence to do that?Absolutely yes.
Dolores 10-01-2005, 09:54 PM I wish one of them had the balls to say to John that they'd had a glass of diet cola in the diary room ....or am I just more spiteful than any of them!
STOP PANDERING TO HIM!!

Exactly Dol, I wish they would just turn round and tell him exactly what they really think of him!!! They are all total cowards slagging him off behind his back but really sweet and twee to his face! C'mon guys there are more of you lot than there is him! It would be great to see him taking them all on, he would probably win!

Woodstock 15-01-2005, 07:22 PM Diet Coke indeed!! - all part of the McCrirrick blokes pre-show ploy. What are the odds of him appearing in a sequence of clever little commercials for the Coca Cola Co. this spring/summer? - well, you could ask him the odds couldn't you. The Ad executives already have their brainstorm sheets spread atop of their walnut desks and are hard at working developing their ideas around the "horse-racing pundit from hell sulks until he gets his Diet-Coke" scenario.
Of course, it won't happen, but that's not the point. It's surely how he envisaged what might come of his false desparation for a Diet-Coke. I mean, does he look like he drinks Diet-Coke? He's been on the regular stuff for years.
He'd have been better advised to target hair-loss brands.
And John.......WHERE DID YOU GET THAT HAT??
Eternity 15-01-2005, 07:30 PM Oh come on now!!! John always asked for DIET COLA - it could have been coca-cola or pepsi-cola, or even Tesco's best. No one firm could jump into that, he was always careful on not asking for a specific brand................check back!
Woodstock 15-01-2005, 08:12 PM what brand did they actually end up giving him?
In which case they're all in the running to win John's signature for the commercial contract that would surely boost anyones sales a thousandfold.
maybe I'm on to something here......"Diet Tescola....Always thirst past the post!".......what do you think...?
Eternity 15-01-2005, 08:23 PM Don't give up the day job Pet!

not bad Woodstock! I like the allusion to racing - very clever!

My day job is sleeping (nightowl)
And if anybody sees the "thirst past the post" slogan on a tv ad in the near future, remember where you saw it first......and then someone forcefeed Eternity his/her own words :) Matter of fact I ought to look into copywriting that s**t ASAP! (self-flattery??)
...and thanks Dolores :)
