Bridget is gutted that Jackie has joined the house and is going to speak to Big Brother about it.
John has broken his silence to tell her that she must be so far ahead in the polls, for them to bring her in...
He is now talking to Germaine!
Eternity 10-01-2005, 10:08 PM Ooops! Was that a spoiler? I just posted that on another thread - sorry!!
Don't worry Eternity....
We just tend to post anything on the live feed worth reporting in a spoiler just in case some people don't want to know until they see the show on C4, so they know to avoid the thread!
Personally myself I can't avoid them I have to know what is going on
Eternity 11-01-2005, 11:24 AM This is huge - don't look unless you really have to!
Germaine walks out!
maxine 11-01-2005, 11:34 AM Oh that's such a shame. I thought she could've won it. Any info as to why Eternity?
floopy 11-01-2005, 11:43 AM Germaine has stunned the housemates by twelling them she is leaving the Big Brother house as soon as she can. Her suitcase has arrived and she is currently in the process of packing.
"Happy! Happy! Happy! Happy! Happy!" shouted Germaine as the prospect of leaving dawned on her.
She hinted that she won't be the only person to leave. Germaine claimed she had "specific issues" and she was being "deliberately unfair" by staying in the house but refuse to discuss exact reasons.
Jackie quizzed Germaine berfore declaring that she would miss her. "I don't understand - you looked so happy last night. Who will take your place?" asked the new housemate.
"It's not my problem" smiled Germaine as she packed as soon as she could.
.....................
maxine 11-01-2005, 11:48 AM Oh. Doesn't really tell us much. Still, I'm sure we'll find out some time soon.
Critique 11-01-2005, 11:50 AM Ooooh - big scoop. Why, what, when, where. I wish CBB had the live coverage on ITV2 like ICGMOOH. I miss it badly. It's only on E4 which I can't get with my Freeview box :)
floopy 11-01-2005, 11:52 AM I read that having the door open all night was causing her hip to seize up, although I don't know if that was a **** take or not - havent noticed her struggling to get about.
Andrea 11-01-2005, 11:52 AM I've just been watching the live feed and she is just about to go, she has packed her bags and said goodbye to everyone.
I've been watching for the last half hour but can't work out why.
Edited to say I can't work out why she is going, not why I've been watching it for the last half hour:laugh:
I wonder if Bridget is going to go as well, she is not happy with Jackie Stallone being there.
Oooh shock horror, I thought Germaine wouldn't have been one to walk.
Critique 11-01-2005, 11:55 AM Any news about John? Has he got over his sulk? Ya really don't get much of an impression from the main show and BBLB :( I would love to be able to watch all day (well have it on in the background like I used to with IAC.
claire 11-01-2005, 11:57 AM I read that having the door open all night was causing her hip to seize up, although I don't know if that was a **** take or not - havent noticed her struggling to get about.
I've had an inflamed joint in my hip and it wasn't pleasant. I couldn't walk.
Eternity 11-01-2005, 11:58 AM I did catch a snippet of something, but I do have it on while working on other things. That was that Lisa seemed angry with Germaine. All the rest seem to be upset she is going.
I may have picked up wrong However, I am gutted she is leaving, she was for sure the best in there!
Critique 11-01-2005, 11:59 AM Can't say I blame Germaine - she does seem to have drawn the short straw and spent all her time cooking and waiting on everyone. Must have been quite tiring at her age (not far off mine and I would have been Jacobed).
floopy 11-01-2005, 11:59 AM Maybe she's allergic to silicone and donesn't want to say?
Eternity 11-01-2005, 12:02 PM I am dying to hear what she has to say, but I wonder if they'll keep her gagged for a while?
maxine 11-01-2005, 12:03 PM I think you've got to respect someone who decides to walk without making a song and dance about it.
I wonder if their contracts state that they don't get paid if they walk because, surely, if John is so unhappy he would've walked long ago. Cos he keeps saying they can kick him out if they like but doesn't seem to want to leave of his own accord.
Critique 11-01-2005, 12:03 PM Maybe she's allergic to silicone and donesn't want to say?
Hahaha - nice one :)
Eternity 11-01-2005, 12:08 PM I did read somewhere that they do lose their money if they walk. But I think Germaine will be paid well for her story anyway!
Andrea 11-01-2005, 12:10 PM I think its something to do with Lisa as well. Bridget had just been in the diary room and then went outside and had a quiet little chat with Lisa.
BB were asking Bridget what could be done to resolve the situation. but then the sound went and I've heard nothing since.
Also there was some sort of peasants revolt last night and they've stopped doing the task. So something has happened last night. I also noticed that they have only all just got up. BB usually wake them up with an alarm call, but they've been allowed to sleep in today.
Critique 11-01-2005, 12:12 PM Found this on another site
Germaine has been trying to lead the housemates in a revolt against Big Brother.
The feisty public speaker did her best to stir up rebellion amongst the other housemates when Big Brother decided not to draw the bedroom blinds leaving the sleepy housemates bathed in light.
"There's a revolution going on," Germaine roared. "I will give you Big Brother's balls for breakfast" the Royal Cook promised.
Germaine decided that the best way to upset Big Brother would be to throw Queen Lisa's crown onto the roof. Unfortunately for Germaine, Lisa has grown quite fond of her crown.
"I don't think we should trash the place," the Queen told Germaine, keeping a firm grip on her golden headwear. "My crown," she snapped defensively, not loosening her hold for a second.
"Don't buy into that crap," Germaine told her. "Throw it in the Jacuzzi".
Goody two shoes Jeremy was shocked by Germaine's rebellious suggestions. "I'm a good sport," he said primly. "I always have been".
Caprice suggested that ditching the costumes altogether might be the best idea. "We dress in our own clothes and we say ****** you," she said.
But Germaine wanted to take things a step further. "Why don't we take off our clothes and sit here naked?" she asked.
The others seemed non-committal at Germaine's suggestion and the conversation quickly turned to other subjects, namely what's eating Brigitte.
So Germaine's rebellion has been forgotten for now, but who knows when the fires of revolution will burn again, and how Big Brother will deal with the insurgents
Looks like that's what sparked it off eh?
What I would like to know is why she couldn't wait until I get home from work to walk :ranting:
maxine 11-01-2005, 12:14 PM What I would like to know is why she couldn't wait until I get home from work to walk :ranting:
No consideration, some people.

Germaine Has Left The House
Day 6 of 18, 12:45
Tuesday 11 January
Germaine Greer has decided that she no longer wishes to remain in the Big Brother House, after four days.
Today at midday, she went to the Diary Room and asked Big Brother to return her suitcase, so she could pack her belongings.
Speaking to her fellow housemates in the bedroom as she packed, Germaine said:
"I'm leaving over specific issues, but best for everyone if I don't discuss them. I have a problem with decisions, I make them fast and when I make them, I stick to them."
Germaine left the Big Brother House at 12.45pm today.
Check back later for more details!
Sounds to me like Little Lisa still wanted to be queen but Germaine didn't want to play anymore.
floopy 11-01-2005, 12:24 PM There is also talk of Brigette walking later tonight.
Meanwhile, in an attempt to keep some housemates, BB has delivered the Diet Coke.
Blimey O'Riley
christine 11-01-2005, 12:44 PM Good grief, I never knew a bottle of diet coke could hold so much power!
Bella 11-01-2005, 01:07 PM What a bunch of over ego-infested people that are in there - BB should lock the doors permantely and throw away the keys and GBP never see them again. I can't believe how childish & selfish they are all behaving. I can't really comment on Germaine as I haven't seen anything of her at all, but she obviously doesn't care that much about her charity, after that is a reason why she is there, obviously too busy thinking "me, me, me"! How pathetic! :excl:
Eternity 11-01-2005, 01:18 PM For every 50p vote cast by viewers by telephone or text during the programme's run, 9p will go to a tsunami charity appeal.
Big deal!
Do we know if the nominations are going ahead or not?
Andrea 11-01-2005, 01:37 PM Not yet ils.
The housemates are supposed to be nominating today, but I've not seen anything happening on the live feed.
I am sooooooooooooooooooo disappointed that Germaine has walked
I am also VERY disappointed that Germaine and co didnt give Sulky Pants John a rocket up his a$$ for his totally selfish and unreasonable behviour - I would have struggled to keep my hands from around his neck, chins and those nasty, nasty pubic hair-like  lambchop sideburns..........

Well quite, Queeenie! John has made me so f***ing angry and I'm sat at home and can walk away at anytime. i'm sure I would have kicked off at him or about him big style if I was in the house.
As for Germaine - what a lightweight she is! All this bs - about I have my reasons etc etc. I'm getting fed up with reality contestants (usu. celebs) walking out of the show - don't they have any concept of a day's work and contracts? :ranting:
Germaine I'm giving you the thumbs down!

Apparently she is giving a press conference at 6.30 p.m. to explain her reasons. It's only a game love! God, talk about taking it a bit too seriously! How on earth do these celebs cope with real life?!
Eternity 11-01-2005, 06:15 PM Germaine's reasons for leaving
Filed: 18:23, Day 6 by Claire Myfanwy
Big Brother bosses have released a transcript of the reasons Germaine Greer gave in the diary room for why she wanted to leave.
Ms Greer visited the diary room on two occasions this morning to explain her decision, saying:
"I don't consider myself a housemate anymore, I'm leaving. I don't need the money badly enough, the rainforest will be fine - I'll save it in other ways.
I was a little naïve. I didn't realise agendas. Caprice is here to raise awareness of her lingerie. Brigitte is a professional reality TV person. Kenzie wants to raise the profile of his band. John probably needs the money. I had no idea who would be in here and it's wrong for me to present myself in the same context as they are. I'm 65 and you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
I've made a mistake, it's called cutting your losses."
However she refused to tell her housemates these reasons, telling Kenzie on her exit "It's quitting time - that's all you need to know."
Germaine is allegedly due to hold a press conference at 6.30pm this evening. We will bring you further news as we get it.
maxine 11-01-2005, 06:36 PM Well, perhaps she should've researched BB a bit more before taking part. A far more needy celeb could've had her place (and maybe still will) and raised money for their charity.
Dolores 11-01-2005, 08:28 PM Germaine I'm giving you the thumbs down!
I retract this statement 100%.
I'm afraid after watching 10 mins of tonights show I would totally support G's decision to go. She is far too good for this, it has turned into a freak show ... and for the love of God someone please shoot Lisa!!!
Eternity 11-01-2005, 08:39 PM Good on ya Dol!! I know enough about Germaine to know she would have had real good reasons for getting out, and yes, she damwell did! I would have used a few knives and thrown a few punches before I'd left though. I admire the dignity with which she did leave!
floopy 11-01-2005, 09:05 PM God I feel so sorry for Brigitte.
No divorce is easy, and to have all that bad history thrown back in your face and be completely powerless to express how you feel becasue of the threat of Jackie Stallone's LA lawyers suing your **** off is apalling.
BB's totally f8cked up

yep big style. it's not funny anymore.

Agreed Floopy...too far....way too far. No one deserves to have their past thrown up at them unawares like that and in such a public way... :ranting: :ranting: :mad1:
yep big style. it's not funny anymore.
I agree Dol, it's not funny at all!
It's not funny...I think it is actually very cruel.
floopy 11-01-2005, 09:17 PM Dont read if you dont want to know what's in the interview:
In an interview this evening, due to be shown on Channel 4's BBLB at 23:05hrs tonight, Germaine explained her reasons to Davina MacCall.
"I feel a bit upset about it, I would rather have stuck it out and got evicted in due course...The thing that's important to me is that I manage to keep my sanity...I have to make my judgement and move on."
Explaining her reasons Germaine was not impressed by her housemates reactions to John's protests over the provisions that were witheld: "It first became tricky for me when John was being taunted about the diet cola - because that's how kids behave when they're bullying other children...In this case all the housemates joined in the bullying, they didn't have to repeat what was said in the Diary Room... I just watched and I thought, 'I really don't like this'."
Once John entered his silent protest she said: "John isolated himself...twice he turned his back on me." On his stubborn nature, she said, "There's no turning him round the long way round - that tank is not coming round - he's still going to have repellant views of people and repellant ways of talking to them."
She was further unsettled by the arrival of Jackie Stallone, saying: "It was getting a bit peculiar...I certainly wasn't going to have my palm read - now that would have been degrading!"
Expanding on how she felt about her former housemates, unlike her earlier declarations in the diary room Germaine made no mention of their reasons to be in the house.
On Brigitte - "I was concerned about her, it turns out that she is going through a very, very difficult divorce."
On Caprice - "She is very beautiful, she has the most perfectly toned body I've ever seen in my life. She has a will of iron, and nothing about her is spontaneous - not one action, not one word."
On John - "I do think there's something odd about him." When Davina tells Germaine how much John liked her, she says it was for all the wrong reasons: "Because I did the housework!"
On Kenzie - "He's adorable! First of all he's intensely creative, he's aware of everyone, he never blanks anyone - you can talk to him about anything. He's completely uncalculating and he's there for a good reason."
On Bez - "Bez is a walking miracle - it's a wonder he can put one foot in front of the other!" But Germaine added that she loved his positive disposition. "He finds happiness in a mound of dust!"
On Jeremy - "He's gorgeous. I was a bit mean at first - I thought this guy's business is being likeable." But she admitted her opinion of him began to change today when she enjoyed beating him at caps.
On the housemate she wants to win the series, Germaine said:
"It's a faint hope, but I would like Bez to win, because he needs the money very badly, and he would make very good use of it...and I'd like Kenzie to come second."
Eternity 11-01-2005, 09:20 PM No mention of Lisa? Wonder why?
Critique 11-01-2005, 09:50 PM Doesn't really tell us what brought her to the decision to leave though does it - do we take it that she has been simmering on these points since John got taunted about the diet cola? There doesn't seem to be one thing that she blames for her decision to leave, just a mish mash of things. Or am I missing something?
floopy 11-01-2005, 09:52 PM there was another Coke-gate incident earlier, when Jeremy locked John's returned Diet Coke in the fridge. John stomped off cussing to the diary room and they all laughed at him. I think that's what upset Germaine.
Plus the fact that it was turning into a freak show.
Pandora 11-01-2005, 09:58 PM Jeremy's jokes. About as funny as leprosy eh? Wish someone would put a hundredweight of laxative in his bowl of Muesli in the morning and see how funny he finds that .......
floopy 11-01-2005, 10:01 PM didnt' he say something about laxatives before he went in the house? About what a great larf it was to spike people's food and watch tme running for the toilet?
Total ****, IMOI
Pandora 11-01-2005, 10:23 PM didnt' he say something about laxatives before he went in the house? About what a great larf it was to spike people's food and watch tme running for the toilet?
Total ****, IMOI Yes he did. Endeared me to him all the more. NOT. He seems to be the type to enjoy being the one playing the jokes and having a laugh at other peoples expense, but doesnt like it when the boot is on the other foot.
Brig, Lisa and Caprice gave him a hard time today and made a fuss of Kenzie and Jeremy didnt like it one bit.
Just watching the Germaine interview ...and they showed bit of the live feed; McCririck just lit up a cigar the length of a drainpipe !
Critique 12-01-2005, 09:53 AM What a waste of space the "live" coverage was last night eh? I struggled to stay awake and although there were housemates in the living room chatting, we were treated to boring, boring, boring bedroom scene of Kenzie getting into bed and then nothing..... just snores and grunts from John I presume. I don't know how long it went on because I stuck it from one set of adverts to nearly another but gave up and went to bed!!
