View Full Version : Surprising like or dislike of any Housemate?
Dolores 13-01-2005, 06:01 PM I'm surprised I like Brigitte and Bez. They both seem a lot more "real" than I thought they would be.
I cant' say I'm surprised I dislike Lisa - cos I didnt know anything about her to like before she went in, all the same she is the one I dislike the most.
....as for John I knew he was an obnoxious misfit before he went in so surprise there that I don't like him.
so who are you surprised that you like or dislike?
I liked Germaine suprisingly.
I thought Jeremy was more handsome that he had appeared in the tv shows I had seen him in....but the more I watch , he is just not my type.
Kenzie - I had never heard of him....but like him
Bez - I had never heard of him...like...but find his odd stare and wobbling head a bit disconcerting.
Brigitte - Suprisingly like very much
Lisa - Had heard off her name but didn't know anything about her - jurys out
Caprice - exactly as expected, like Jordan she is a product of her own manufacture.
John - I am liking more and more....he has been by far the best entertainment.
Jackie...just can't take her seriously but like pandora said, her agility in the chair is quite remarkable, and what she utters is very funny.
:bye:
claire 13-01-2005, 08:41 PM I disliked Bridgette immensely when she arrived. She appeared to be an attention seeking extrovert. She is actually really lovely.
I didn't like the look of Caprice innitially, however she has grown on me and I enjoy watching her. She reminds me a bit of myself (not in appearance).
John simply makes me sick. I liked him a little at first, however he is far too obese and sits all day, he will have health problems if he carries on like that. He also picks his nose and eats it on live tv? Whats that about?
I really like little Kenzie, he's a sweet little boy- down to earth. I'd like to see him win.
karenh 13-01-2005, 09:28 PM I'm surprised that I liked Bez. I was a fan of the Happy Monday's in the '80's, but always thought that Bez was a bit of a waste of space at the time. but now that I've "got to know him", he actually seems like a really decent bloke. If a bit wasted.....
I'm surprised that I like Kenzie too. I'd never heard of him but on the first night, his white-boy, Bronx Bruvver, boyz-from-ver-hood accent wound me up a bit. But...he seems sweet, level headed and decent.
But Brigitte was the biggest surprise - wot a gal! Mad as a box of frogs, but entertaining and nice.
old biddie 13-01-2005, 09:29 PM I like Kenzie too, he seems a very good role model for his age group.
I dislike Jackie so much, she is so lazy and doesnt think of anyone but herself. She is so gross it is funny to listen to her self centred conversation. She doesnt have a clue about real life.
Eternity 13-01-2005, 09:38 PM Yep, I like the two lads as well - maybe it's the mothering/Grandma in me that would like to look after them. They are like innocents abroad in the house, but both have shown compassion and understanding, and that to me is a good trait to have - and keep I hope!
I am a startled rabbit in headlights!! I really really like Bridgette - I could quite happily be mates with her, I also am amazed that I like Kenzie [ although I had never heard of him, and he is in a boy band that I haven't heard of and keep forgetting their name].
I am a bit surprised that John is so niggly and withered and nasty. Although am I?? I dunno.
Pandora 13-01-2005, 10:09 PM Im not surprised that I dislike Jeremy so much, as I really cant stand pretty boys who laugh at their own jokes and look permanenly smirky and smug.
Im surprised I like Bez so much, he is quite a respectful chap and very pleasant. Ditto with Brigette - she is slightly more scary when she's had a drink, but then arent we all  ?
Caprice - I didnt have any opinion of until now, but unsurprisingly I dont like the shallow, attention seeking, me me me, not particularly bright model. She is too aware of herself and needs to let herself go instead of playing to the cameras, a la Jeremy.
maxine 14-01-2005, 07:51 AM Im surprised I like Bez so much, he is quite a respectful chap
I thought that too, Pandora. When Jackie was going to make her toast last night he went to help, even though John was hollering 'let her do it herself', and said when he came back, 'she's an old lady'. Also he was genuinely shocked with some of the stuff John was coming out with.
So I'm also very surprised I like Bez as when I saw his video I took an instant dislike to him. Same goes for Kenzie who I think is a nice guy.
And Brigitte - she is great fun.
Also Caprice. I don't get this 'false' that everyone is talking about. She just seems nice to me.
karenh 14-01-2005, 09:17 AM Also Caprice. I don't get this 'false' that everyone is talking about. She just seems nice to me.
Me neither. I don't think that Caprice is coming across as being 'false' at all. She might be a little guarded perhaps, which probably isn't a bad thing on a show like that, but that's not the same as being "false" at all.
She seems alright to me.
Come to think of it, I'm not sure the Jeremy Edwards is "false" either! He also seems like a nice enough bloke.
MariaRob 14-01-2005, 11:05 AM Well I like Bridgett. I thought she was going to be really loud and obnoxious and a total pain but I think she only is like that when she is drunk/drugged.
Kenzie – he really means nothing much to me, he is a sweet enough boy but all this “talking like a black man” just gets on my wick.
Bez – like the others I surprisingly like Bez. I had never heard of him before. Although he is a bit difficult to understand, he comes across as a nice guy, he doesn’t moan or slag people off and is always chirpy. A good candidate for winning I think.
Jeremey – a pillock with the sense of humour of a 12 year old. Thinks his good looks make him a winner, they don’t.
Lisa – can’t stand the woman and will vote her off first – arrogant, full of herself, hard-faced, dismissive of people and a total cow. Don’t think she has done herself any favours on this as I think he GBP think along the same lines.
John – find it difficult to look at this repulsive person, what can I say – sexist, rude, a bully, childish, self-centred and a dirty old man. The way he constantly picks his nose and eats it is beyond redemption. He is also foolish as he could have made some money out of this if he had dressed up as the jester and played the game and been a bit kinder. He is no longer amusing but downright insulting and horrible. Good riddance.
Caprice – couldn’t care less about her really.
Jackie – Jackie is the total surprise. I REALLY like her and think she is hilarious albeit unintentionally. I also think the other housemates should be a bit more respectful towards her, she is an elderly lady after all – John’s tirade yesterday was totally out of order. JACKIE TO WIN!!
claire 14-01-2005, 12:51 PM I find Jeremy nice but a little boring, don't know why anybody would particularly dislike him?
Eternity 14-01-2005, 01:17 PM Ahhh Claire!! This is the fun in something like this, we all form our own views and see things in a different way - as in life!
Personally, I think Jeremy is still on the edge of walking anyway, I think he has had enough.
bridge 14-01-2005, 01:45 PM i like Bridgett because any one who has a mother in law from hell can't help but sympathize with her. so she has my vote!
i also like Bez (it's like the lights on but no-ones home) Hee.
don't like John he is gross
Jeremy is delicious but dull.
and even though she looks like the walking facelift from hell, i can't help but like Jackie.
claire 14-01-2005, 02:06 PM Jeremy probably has to be careful too as he has a respectable job.
I have just watched half of last nights episode but have too much to do so will continue later. I love it! It was fantastic. It has made me really despise John.. He is a sad old prick! Very pathetic indeed. He is so rude to Jackie. She is completely oblivious to the fact that she needs to pull her weight. Yes she is disgusting in appearance, however she is not evil in my opinion. She hasn't cottoned on to the whole Big Brother thing yet. John is rude and arrogant, he disgusts me.
I like Caprice, I don't know why people think she's thick. Some people just don't speak the same way as others. Some choose to try show how intellegent they are by their vocabulary and some just speak normally and may even have a higher IQ. She is great.
bridge 14-01-2005, 02:11 PM Jeremy probably has to be careful too as he has a respectable job.
sorry to sound like a complete Dork, but what exactly does Jeremy do?
Dolores 14-01-2005, 05:28 PM I also think the other housemates should be a bit more respectful towards her, she is an elderly lady after all – John’s tirade yesterday was totally out of order. JACKIE TO WIN!!
I do too Maria. She's an oddball by anyone's standards - but there is no need to be rude and cut her off in mid sentence, or walk away from her, or for John to be shouting at her that she doesn't do anything - (pot, kettle, black)!
She entertains us John - which is a damn site more than you are doing. You just repluse us (well most of us!) and that aint entertaining even if we can't stop watching you!
My views change on Jackie and I have to say her total bewilderment is midly amusing, but i can't help feeling that she's been ill advised to go in there in the first place.
Dolores 14-01-2005, 05:29 PM sorry to sound like a complete Dork, but what exactly does Jeremy do?
He's an actor from Hollyoaks and Holby, bridge. But to be honest I only knew this since he went in the house - I'd never heard of him before except in the context of being Rachel from S Club's boyfriend.
Caprice maynot be coming across as false but I'm afraid anyone with a stomache and hip bones like that deserves to be shot.
Its only fair.
What I don't like about Caprice is her voice and the tone she uses.....
And if I hear her say 'Come on John' once more, I am going to go down there and personally strangle her! :ranting:
floopy 14-01-2005, 07:23 PM I'm surprised how much I like Brigitte. I just wish she'd leave that whole Brigitte Neislon image behind her, grow her hair out - she doesnt need to cling to that whole 80s thing anymore.
Woodstock 15-01-2005, 10:08 PM I'm not so sure I've ever cast my eye on a more ghastly sight than when CBB decided to focus on Johnny McCrirrick at the bathroom sink. There was mucus dripping from his lips, he was picking his darn nose, and generally looking all the while as if he was auditioning for a Wes Craven movie. I've never used this expression before in my life but....."I was totally grossed out....totally......dude!"
......and that poor sink!
Eternity 15-01-2005, 10:28 PM I was in bed when that came on, and gratefully sunk further and further under the duvet so I couldn't see it! It was disgusting (sorry, but I am sick to death of the word Gross aka Caprice!) to say the least, and I did catch the end - he never even rinsed out the sink - yuk!
Woodstock 15-01-2005, 10:56 PM then you did exactly what I did E. I pulled the cover right over and sought protection from my pillows too. I never did that during my first viewing of the "Alien" movie!
Sorry about the use of the word gross. It's such a gross word.
