I would like to make a formal apology for slating Ms Jackie Stallone at the beginning of the programme. She seems to have touched my heart, she's a lovely old lady who's gotten a bit carried away with the old plastic surgery, but nonetheless she is great...

Thats all folks- please accept?

I think Jackie won over a lot of hearts, and it does go to prove that it's not what you are on the outside, but what's inside of you that counts! She was a classic Ballsy Lady, and she only started fighting back when she realised the rest were sniggering about her and being vile.

I would love to get hold of her EM addy, and let her know that all people in the UK were not like the HM's she met, and we did so love her for the way she dealt with all that s**t! (Anyone help on that score?)

I think most of us would need to apologise to her, truth be told!

Yes. me too, I still think she doesnt understand how the other half live, but I will miss the way she stood up for herself and the remarks she came out with. Also think she was spot on with her opinions of the other hms.

I can only echo your post Claire. Fun is fun - but we must never judge a book by the cover.
You know i have a lot of American friends,(i think:) ) and it is very easy to get our cultures at loggerheads.
They are more 'up-front' than we are to be sure, and they miss letters out when spelling colour, etc:blink: , but when one takes the time to get to know them they are JUST the same as us.
They sometimes try very hard to get to understand us too.
Oceans do not seperate us now like they used too - the internet bridges the gap.
Airmail is only 5 days or so.
Shock horror SF even married an American!:glare: (Ask him if he regrets it?)

Apart from my shock horror at the way she looked when she first arrived (and possible not too nice comments about that) I think I have stood up for her and fought in her corner the rest of the time and found myself feeling quite endeared to her. I too hope she won't judge everyone by the rudeness of some of the people she has come up against and that she gets to know how many people found her entertaining, witty and only rude to those that deserved it.

(Had migraine yesterday so forgive if typing a bit muddly)

I have to say that Jackie was pretty venomous to some of the housemates in there and I doubt very much that the word apology is in her vocabulary. She strikes me as quite vindictive and interferring. I mean in the Davina interview she seemed to think every thing was rosy in the garden with Brig but her next sentence was completely dissing Sly's current wife! She really did learn nothing! She deserves no apology and I'm quite sure she couldn't give a fig whether she got one or not!!

As a contestant on BB she was one of the best, mainly cos she chatted alot and I also loved the way she kept forgetting everyone's name ... I bet no-one ever forgets her name!

Oh toosh, she got shedloads of cash and international publicity, the poor old dear knows exactly what she's doing.

I think I see where you are coming from Claire - and I tend to agree with you - there was no need for the appalling behaviour of certain people in the BB house - led by Lisa IMHO - Queen BULLY(sh*t).....

If anyone is to blame for anything then its BB, they put Jackie in the house expecting fireworks with her and Brigitte - well done ladies for maintaining your dignity and not letting BB win!

Jackie is a very astute woman, and I think people forgot this when they saw her in the house......I bet her and her Lawyers have watched every inch of footage and are rubbing their hands with glee.....

accepted.

It's very noble of you to retract your previous negative comments about The Jackie Monster. Much respeck! (to be said in a kenzie way)

However looking at your message from a graphic design angle, I would have plumped for a different typeface. The one you chose was far too begging....pleading....as if you was trying achieve additional influence by using it - which I found very unfair and bereft of dignity....;)

But yes, you finally saw the light and you made amends.

My take on this is that Jackie chose to go down the plastic route, so she can only expect to continually dodge, perhaps even absorb would be a more accurate way of putting it, the abuse that is thrown her way. She is very well equipped to deal with it as she seems to have heavy-plated armour and a wealth of ammunition stored beside her wit-cannon.
I mean, if I was to visit one of these ghastly surgeries on the morrow and asked Dr. F**kya-Faceup to surgically paste Groucho Marx style eyebrows on my forehead then I could anticipate nothing but peculiar looks and unsavoury remarks on the train journey home.

What is sinfully wrong is choosing to pick on someone on account of their natural looks. Such victimization can gradually remove the thin-plated armour of less self-assured people and reduce them to the point of desparation which so often ends in heartache and sadness for some. These are people who cannot and often choose not to fight back because they're not equipped to do so or because they are up against not one or two, but large numbers of people. But these are the type of situations Big Brother wants.....needs. So if it's happening on our tv screens in the evening before impressionable (we've all been there) young minds, who is to say that it won't be repeated in the school playgrounds the following morning by the very same people who think it's a normal part of life 'cos they happened to see similar acts on Big Brother the previous night?

....ahhh get off yer soap box, I hear them crow...

I must admit I felt bad the other night when Jeremy & Kenzie were laughing about her cannoning of the walls when she went to the loo & she could obviously hear, I thought that was mean.

However, I didn't buy the poor old dear on another planet act either. She didn't get where she is today by being a poor old dear............also, I thought the way she forgot everyone's names all the time was just bloody rude. I was so proud on Kenzie when she called him 'little boy' & asked him what his name was & he said 'little boy apparently'!

She made me laugh in the house but I didn't like her..............I'm pleased that her & Brig made up though.

As a senior member, you get to have lips like Jackie Stallone and the chance to have your face pulled and stretched in eight different directions, giving it a scary clown like quality. Oh and here you go (hands over certificates), you are now a Palm Reader, Astrologer to the Stars and Certified Bum Reader ( | )

maybe I already have lips like Jackie Stallone.....

The benefits of being a senior member are making me want to withdraw all my posts until I have 99 so I can be a plain old member.
