perfect sense - how long are your summer vacations?? Ours are generally 6 weeks. I like the Thanksgiving one - we don't get that one - but we do get 'Backberry Week' mid-october.

And the bad weather ones sound thrilling - we tend not to get them, but sometimes if there is snow schools are closed - not very often though!

A HUGE good morning to everyone and I just hope the weather is a lovely where you are as it is here....it's a reet corker - a day in the garden me thinks trying to make some sense of my hanging baskets, which now have grass growing in them. I shall hopefully post pic's later.

Feeling such a sense of relief knowing I have passed my exams ok.

I am feeling hot diggidy dog this morning - probably due to results posted in another thread - but can't decide what to do.

Still debating wether to go to the gym, they have a creche 9.30 - 11am. But I shall be taking the Fredmeister to buy some special new pants, bob the builder preferably and a new Thomas the Tank engine for being such a good boy. I shall also be spicing up a new mirror and giving the house a general tidy - Oh and banking money from work.

I think I will go to the gym, it will set me up for the day.

Well miss ils missed her last train home from London last night, so she is not coming back until this morning, so I waited up for nothing but the main thing is she is safe as she is staying with her friend.. I'm really tired this morning as I didn't get to sleep until about 2.30pm and was up at 6am again. I'm off to the dentist for a filling this morning so I'm a little bit nervous even though he is a real sweetie. I just hate going to the dentist :sad:

I hate going to the dentist too ils, its the injections - I fainted once.

My long term dentist retired a few years back and a young scottish man replaced him. I bumped into him slightly tipsy in a night club a couple of years ago and told him how gentle he was and I loved the way he wipes away your dribble.

Undecided wether to go out for dinner this afternoon, a pub/restaurant in town - actually the outskirts The De Parys, Hotel (we had our wedding reception here, its quite nice) is having a fun day with bouncey castle ect...might take the boys for something to eat. Then again don't know wether I can be bothered, would make a nice change I suppose and the weather looks nice.

Shorted the house out and I can't get an effing engineer til Thursday (queue me asking for another day off work!) BUT, currently have my washing spread around various friends.he he....and am off to my sisters with the rest forthwith....

Can I just say Good Morning and I can actually recommend your washing machine breaking down the day you return from your holidays. I got eight loads of washing done in about 4 hours!! I would never have got that much done at home on my own with one machine. :w00t:
All I had to do was drive round the town dropping it off and it was all returned to me aswell!! bloody fantastic......

I should have pretended mine has broken down too Buzz. I have a few piles of post holiday laundry on my kitchen floor at the moment, after having done four loads already yesterday. :blink:

Morning all. Just taken my house guest for his first :pooh: of the day. First time I have ever had to pick up animal :pooh: although I have cleaned a lot off the bottom of shoes over the years. Fortunately there was a dog bin nearby so I didn't have to carry the rather large steamer for very long.

I used the double bag method and a rubber glove nice yellow marigoldso I am glad no one was looking at me being a nancy, but on the other hand they could have seen me being a nice responsible dog carer.

We are going shopping this morning need a new jacket and some warm pjs for our camping trip to France next week. We are going in the campervan but also taking a tent as its only a small camper with single beds and its nice to have a bit of extra space and also not having to pack up everything to go out for the day. :bag:

Morning everyone...Here I am..back from a FAB FAB FAB 2 and a half week holiday.
Back at work yesterday but too distraught to join in.
Italy was lovely...Rome was spectacular, and Lisbon was just great altogether.
I did something I have never done before...i stepped inside a so called 'irish bar' out foreign.Normally I avoid them like the plague, but i wanted to see the ALL IRELAND Hurling final, (YEAY...Bravo to Cork)
And I wanted to see LOST, because the bar had irish television.
So I didn't miss any LOST...isn't that terrible! :-))
Off for a zoom around now, to catch up on the goings on here.

Yes, you do get paid a bit better on the bank, even better on agency.
When I do get re-qualified, that is something I'm going to look into.
But at the local hospital they have a day procedure unit that does all sorts of surgeries, and they have about 8 beds for overnighters, which are either day procedures that need to stay in just one night, or transfers from the main Norwich hospital that need to stay in for a few more days and I think that is mainly hip/knee replacements and such.
So quite a bit of variety which I'm surprised at for such a small local hospital.

Good deal Andrea!!! I really have such a respect for nurses especially since all of this ordeal w/ my stomach started in 2002. I always stay on the same floor/ward at our hospital when I have to go in and I just have gotten really close to those nurses and they are very considerate and compassionate and hard workers.
