Good Luck for the ironing ils. I have a similar strategy when ironing, stick something on the telly and it seems to go faster somehow. My boys are still off today so we are doing the haircut, homeowrk(that should have been done weeks ago :glare: ) routine today.

I think not.....Having endured three days of Mr B being not well, I can honesestly say, they were the longest days of my life....thankfully he has gone back to work and by some holy divine intervention he is well enough to go out drinking this evening...amazing isn't it. What made me really cross was how he was able to gt downstairs for the telly zapper, and then disappeared back to bed crooning "could you get me some paracetamol and bring it up?"

I planned on having a lie in this morning, but it wasn't to be. It was our baby's 17th birthday yesterday and her older sisters (and their drunken boyfriends) took her to the pub last night. One of the drunken boyfriends (the bony guitarist one with dull hair) left early this morning to travel to a gig and failed to close the front door properly. So I awoke at 7-ish to the snarly sound of Harry and Jacob (our two huge German Shepherds) play-fighting, thundering up and down the road like wild horses, scaring the paperboy.

There's a Gibson guitar scheduled for a round-the-neck-wrapping later this week. :ranting:

So I'm up, showered, fastbroken, and back at the electronic grindstone. Later on we're having a more couth celebration with champers and stuff. That'll be nice.

We beat the top team 4-2 :laugh: They had played 8, won 8 and didn't know how to lose :ranting:

They had one player booked and to be honest they were lucky not to have have half their team sent off, and they are only 13 & 14. They were a disgrace as were some of their parents. A few of the boys were crying at the end because they lost.

We are playing them again next week at their ground - I think that will be fun!

Went for a lovely run, took a slightly different route - all along the river into a wood bit longer about 6 miles- bloody lovely.

Just cooking dinner now and rehydrating with a beer.

Had quite a restless night was woken by two girls having a fight over the road (actually think it was one of our younger neighbours, but will say nothing just incase it wasn't) - too tired to get out of bed to have a look. I'm here now - had a bit of a late night so didn't get up until 9am. But I have been busy since then, as I've started on my spring cleaning! :blink:

I went for the most amazing run earlier. There was a crisp clean frost on the ground and a mist was rising off the river. It was like running thru a christmas card - lovely.

Then I went straight to sainsburies without passing Go steaming and muddy thinking its still early on one will notice me. Once there I proceeded to crash into a display stand of bitter lemon; every bottle left the stand and bounced down the isles, one shattering and soaking me and any one in the near vacinity. The whole of sainsburies came to a stand still and looked at me - in my mud splashed leggings, big baggy fleece top with steam still emitting and my black luton town bobble hat. Face still shiney and red.

Very attractive.

Never mind.

Why am I never in Sainsbury's at the right time. I saw your car in the car park, but must have just missed this episode..

Yes, you just had, Andrea! One of Delia Smith's tips for left-over wine is to put it into ice-cube trays and freeze them. You can them pop them into casseroles, sauces, soups etc..................left-over wine.............. :blink: :wacko: Does such a thing exist!!!??

Thats what I thought...putting it in the food as well as drinking it..seemed a bit strange to me.

Good morning everyone. Just got back from another lovely run with Bazeeeel, not as scenically stunning as yesterday as the frost has gone, but still a pleasure.

Showered and now going to buy a new iron so I can crack on with my pile. Then my MIL is coming for dinner which today is going to be a roast with the most. Even got sausage and bacon wraps (bought from sainsburies).

Afternoon. Just finished ironing whilst watching American Idol...very funny. I could watch these takes all day.

The iron I have bougth can be cordless too, not recommended, bit pointless really...dosn't hold the heat for very long if you are hoofing thru a pile. Bought it from local DIY store for £25, I knew could get cheaper else where but couldn't be arsed to drive anywhere - but I was still a bit miffed when an advert came on advertising one in Tesco's for £5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never mind.

MIL on her way round .....Mr Cat thought as he was going out now he could pick her up on the way back....I still have to put the ironing away and havn't even started dinner. How thoughtfull.

No cooker knowledge here, I'm afraid. Sorry. If it was in Dab House I'd probably say "better get a new cooker" to which Mrs Dab would go " :mad2:" and get on with fixing it.

I would love a new cooker (this is only 3 years old tho)...but its been a heap of ****e. The glass door has already been replaced once whilst it was under warrenty and a new fan has been fitted - out of warrenty. The top oven door is hanging off.

Why oh why oh why does this happen to the things you didn't get the extended cover for?

I am going to ring and tell them what a heap of **** it is, but I don't think it will get me anywhere.

It is also filthy and I can't be arsed to clean it.

I see a new one on the horizon.....with an extended warrenty.

Another course today so I won't be around much.
