I must first report my shamefull behaviour last night....I was in bed asleep by 10pm...guests still downstairs being entertained by Mr Cat, who had not long been hauled out of bed where he fell asleep putting Freddie to bed.

We are not the best of company at times.

I was very tired.

Morning all - Heres how mine started......

I was layed in bed @ approximately 6:40.....all was sleepy sleepy til I heard my proximaty sensor go off.....I was just about to get up to see who was near my zs when the alarm started going off!
I jumped up thinking the bas*ard pikeys are gonna get it this time!
I ran to the window first to see whether 1 or 2 knives was needed .....(depending on the size/amount of pikeys) :boxing:
I looked around my zs.....no sign of pikeys.....looked left.....looked right....still no sign.
Then it dawned on me (no the sun wasn't coming up it was still dark lol) I havent drove my car for 3 weeks now (due to my operation im not allowed) although I have told my dad to take it out for a run which he has only done once. So im assuming it must be the battery.
Anyways I goes downstairs, gets my car keys....chucks on a jacket and my trainers (picture the scene - kimmy in a purple frilly edged nighty....red kickers jacket....white nike trainers.....walking outside with out of bed hair! & to top it off hairy legs! plus my car alarm to draw attention to me)
I gets to the zs and the clifford buttons arent doing sweet FA.
My ford key fob....again sweet FA! Had to use my key to unlock the door (no central locking working)
Had to disconnect the battery!
Reconnected battery...........nothing working still............think I have a flat battery............disconnetcted it & gonna leave it for Johnboy to sort when he finishes work.

I've learn't a little trick in my years....bring down loads of hangers...and hang everything as you iron it....(those over the door hooks from Kleeneze come in handy here), and then during the adverts of American Pop Idol...you run upstairs and hang them in the relevent wardrobes.

Yes...started of with Mr Muscle moose at 8am - crap - resorted to the wallpaper scrapper. This did the job, then once down to the orignial cooker, the trusty old brillo pads came out.....I have discovered the the inner door is glass and I also found a light!!!

We are having a new door fitted this week so thought it was due for a good clean.

I am now about to clean up stairs then that will lead me to 11.55 when Americal Idol starts..I will watch this whilst doing my weeks ironing.

It seems to heat up when there are lots of bodies in and PCs on. I sometimes wish we could just open some windows and sit in our coats, it'd be far healthier!

This morning I've cleaned and tidied the dining room, made 48 bun cakes for a school valentines cake sale tomorrow, so I'm having a quick peek around here before I have to pick up youngster from nursery.

Morning all. Feeling slightly more human today....snotsville arazona yesterday....and a cough.

All except 3 people in my class failed the exam - in fact out of the 3 classes only a handfull did. The same mistake was made across the board - Cash Books and posting on to ledgers for those in the know. So more of a glip in the teaching me thinks.

Because of this we retook a similar question (after more teaching).

So wasn't worried.

Nah not sad, you just have too much time on your hands :shock: :laugh: seriously though, Im not a "shopper" - I never have been, I hate it, food shopping AND clothes shopping, its a pain in the butt, cos I always find that when I have oodles of cash to spend I cant find anything I like, and then when I NEED something in particular and cash isnt a problem I cant find anything - I spent WEEKS searching for nutcrackers in December - could only find them in "gift packs" with a load of bits I didnt need and too pricey....we tucked into our Xmas nuts mid January :unsure::laugh:

Im just not "housewife" material - not meant as derogatory girls, I AM getting there, its been a steep learning curve this step ma malarkey, Im used to weighing things up, counting the cash and then doing WTF I like regardless..........oh the single life of eating takeaways and pub grub rather that go shopping :devil: :laugh: my life has changed SO much in the last 2 years, thankfully its all for the better, but some things take a little longer to adjust to - like having to do a weekly shop :rolleyes:

I'm not a great one for clothes shopping either, I tend to buy all my clothes from catalogues.

Have them delivered, try them on at my lesuire and send them back if I don't like them! Easy Peesey Lemon squeezy!

:laugh: good on ya Buzz - I didnt leave the house to do the main shopping this year, I did a Tesocs on line shop twice, then bought ALL of the pressies on line, and then all I had to do was a "fresh" shop 2 days before for the veg and stuff........

The last year I was single it was a bit different........I put it off and put it off till the weekend before Xmas, hauled my ass into town for the Xmas Markets etc, I was in town by 11.30, at 11.50 I was on the phone to my mate The Duchess arranging to meet her in a bar at midday cos I had had enough - I spent the rest of the day and night on the lash and then did a complete panic shop on Xmas Eve......but back then, I didnt worry about food, as long as I had beer vodka and chocolates I wasnt worried :blush::laugh:

I do Tesco's online sometimes but find I just keep buying the same old stuff so I do like to go and have a look round sometimes but I don't like doing it and have to take Mr. C (who hates it with a vengeance) because I can't lump it all upstairs. I tend to get a good 2 weeks' worth at a time. Couldn't do it every week.

Had a busy day so far. I let himself persuade me to go to the Hayling Island Bootsale this morning when my whole body was saying "stay in the warm" - lol. It's actually on the beach (shingle) and I didn't expect there to be many sellers standing about in the cold or even buyers but it was packed. It was freezing too but I wrapped up well.

Glad I went though. It is my granddaughter's 8th birthday today and I hadn't got a present for her. Couldn't think what to get but I found a brand new personal CD player at the booty, still bubblewrapped and sealed for only £7.50. I was worried that she might already have one but she didn't and was thrilled to bits with it. It was a good make too not a cheapy one so I got a bargain.

It must have been my lucky day too because I wanted some cream cushion covers to go with my new brown suite. I looked at some and they wanted £3 each for them and I didn't have £18 on me after buying the CD player so I left them and then I found a stall selling some lovely tasselled ones in packets of 2 for £1.50!! I snapped up 3 packs. 6 cushion covers for £4.50 now that can't be bad eh? And I bought a smashing "Next" jumper for £1. :)

I was supposed to come back from said bootsale with hubby (passing through Chichester) and then go back to Chichester in my own car for her Birthday Party at the Adventure Warehouse which is one of those places with bouncy castles and stuff. The party was at 1 pm and I realised that if I went home first I was going to be late so I bought some wrapping paper and a card and persuaded hubby to stop off at the party, telling him that we need only stay for a little while (not really his idea of fun, all those screaming kids and it being half term too).

As it happened my son said he had room in the car to give me a lift home, so to Mr C's relief he was able to leave me there and come home (he was due to start work at 4 pm anyway).

The kids all enjoyed the party. They got an hour and a half in the Bouncy bit and then we were all ushered upstairs to the party room where they have their food, drinks, the cake and party bags and balloons. It's cleverly done because once you go upstairs you can't get back into the bouncy bit (the only way out leads out to the car park) so it doesn't drag on and on.

It's nice to be back in the peace and quiet cos the noise in there was deafening :shock:

Morning all. Nothing planned for this morning, but this afternoon I have to take mini buzz 3 for a check up on his HSP at the hospital...which will consist of 4 hours waiting for a 3 minute appointment!! but there you go, thats hospital life. Then home for the rest of the day.....

It's not ignorance ils, I didn't have a clue til last year when he got it either.


Basically it is a viral infection, that generally starts as a upper respitory infection, cold, sore throat etc that attacks the immune system. Last year Matty's legs started to sell and bruise with out him hitting or banging them.. The hospital said it was this HSP and then went mad checking his blood pressure, which was high for a 6 year old, his kidney function; cos there was blood in his urine and his temp which was a little high. He had two bouts of it alst year one in march and another in may- which landed him in hospital. It is a scary, but not life threatening condition. Touch wood he has not had a bout since last may and they say he may never get one again. but they don't know. They do regualr checks up to a year after the first flare up and hopefully today we will be discharged.... :thumbsup:
