View Full Version : A thread to say Good Morning/Goodnight ! ils 01-05-2005, 09:04 AM Yes please Buzz - I need my cup of tea in the morning to get me going :D Cat 01-05-2005, 09:05 AM PS Cat why was your dog sick? Not sure...he is sick now and again..actually more regerging. But it was a big heave last night. He is definately off colour, so will be keeping a close eye. He's just gone off for a walk with Mr Cat who is under strict orders to closely inspect his poo and see if there are any clues. Dolores 01-05-2005, 09:07 AM Not sure...he is sick now and again..actually more regerging. But it was a big heave last night. He is definately off colour, so will be keeping a close eye. He's just gone off for a walk with Mr Cat who is under strict orders to closely inspect his poo and see if there are any clues. he gets all the best jobs (fnar, fnar!) Mr C doesn't he!!! Will he scoop up the poo and bring it home so that you can all inspect it together - or will you rely on his analysis and data without any evidence? Cat 01-05-2005, 09:11 AM he gets all the best jobs (fnar, fnar!) Mr C doesn't he!!! Will he scoop up the poo and bring it home so that you can all inspect it together - or will you rely on his analysis and data without any evidence? I have asked him to bring it home before and he refused. So we can summise he will inspect himself. Patsy 01-05-2005, 09:34 AM Not sure...he is sick now and again..actually more regerging. Good nights sleep with a rather intriguing dream about a Truck Fest in a very petty part of Scotland which then transcended into running a business and interviewing staff for Tesco's. It was a happy dream, no dark undercurrents. Just got eldest buzz off to school, the other two are off for the elctions. What are you all up to today?? Oh dear, I bet oldest Buzz boy is a bit peed off! I was planning a lie in today as it's my day off but my son overslept so I had to give him a lift to school. Later on I'm getting my hair done which I always look forward to as they make a lovely cuppa coffee and it's an excuse to sit and do nothing for a couple of hours. God, I'm easily pleased. Anyway, morning everyone. :cool2: Buzz 05-05-2005, 08:05 AM Oh dear, I bet oldest Buzz boy is a bit peed off! Understaement of the year Max....a LOT peed off. I did feel sorry for him though.as I was shoving him out of the door with my foot up his **** shouting for god's sake its only school. ils 05-05-2005, 08:11 AM Oh I remember the days Buzz, the older ones really object when the younger ones get a day off and they don't! I don't really have anything planned for today, so I am just going to potter around doing a few chores! What an exciting life I lead! Max - I love having my hair done at the hairdressers too - enjoy! Patsy 05-05-2005, 09:58 AM I'm off with youngest P due to polling, going to get my hair cut, going to dispute ONE of my parking tickets, mooching around shops and having lunch out with my baby, picking up eldest from school. Nice easy day. Might even vote if the weather's nice. Andrea 05-05-2005, 12:55 PM Good afternoon everyone. I've had a busy morning. Been cleaning all the carpets with the borrowed carpet cleaner. Been cleaning all the carpets with the borrowed carpet cleaner. All the carpets in my house have now had a thoroughly good clean and look lovely. You should see the colour of the water when you've finished though  What sort of carpet cleaner is is Andrea? Stoopid, stoopid idea! ils 05-05-2005, 12:58 PM Morning Andrea :bye: You don't want to pop down and do mine this afternoon do you? No? Funny I thought you might say that! Andrea 05-05-2005, 12:59 PM It was a friends cleaner, well her brothers actually, but it is quite a big one. Heavy to pull round. It wasn't an upright one and I prefer uprights. I think you can buy some upright ones fairly cheaply now (have a look in Argooooos) Andrea 05-05-2005, 01:00 PM Morning Andrea :bye: You don't want to pop down and do mine this afternoon do you? No? Funny I thought you might say that! Your right there Ils, I'm shattered now. What with having to move all the furniture in every room, keep emptying and filling up the cleaner, then go round and ordinary hoover everything, then put everything back. I have callouses' on my hand now  Critique 05-05-2005, 01:00 PM Max - I love having my hair done at the hairdressers too - enjoy! I think I'd rather go to the Dentist! I think I said before, I obviously don't speak "hairdresser" cos they don't understand "just a trim" !!! maxine 05-05-2005, 01:00 PM It was a friends cleaner, well her brothers actually, but it is quite a big one. Til the last time I went  I distinctly said leave the back long but just thin it out and trim the layers. Put my head down while she was snipping away and telling me what a night she had with her kid waking up all night and when I looked up - shock horror - all my long bits were laying on the floor  Now a bad blow job I can cope with but once it's cut off what can you do? I ranted a bit and she knocked £5 off but I haven't recovered from the trauma yet! I was thinking, what on earth kind of hairdressers do you go to!!!!! :shocking: Bella 05-05-2005, 01:23 PM What sort of carpet cleaner is is Andrea? We're thinking of getting one as we've made a really poor decision of carpetting the entire house in cream. Stoopid, stoopid idea! How spooky? Me & Mr B were just discussing carpet cleaners today as well - what an exciting life we lead eh? We had booked someone to clean the carpets today, but he phoned at 10.15am (he was due at 10am) to say that he couldn't make as one of his lads had to go to a funeral and he was on his own and what day would I like him instead? I told him not to bother and then we though maybe we could just get one ourselves as when we move we will have the garage as storage. So Andrea, is the Goblin one a good one? Andrea 05-05-2005, 01:28 PM It was ok. Heavy to lug around and you had to keep filling it up with water. But I think its not a brand new machine. It has done really well with the bedroom carpets, they look lovely. The living room one doesn't look as good, but it is patterned so you might not see it as well. And there are a few marks that it hasn't picked up, but on the whole, yes it has done a good job. Although it's the first time I've ever used one, and I've never had anyone in to clean my carpets either, so I've got nothing to compare with. Dolores 05-05-2005, 05:18 PM What on earth has this thread turned in to? It's pure smut. Cat 15-05-2005, 10:36 AM I had a rather splendid run, it is a lovely morning...the grass was so green and river so still it perfectly reflected the tree's growing by. It was ruined as I ran by the mess that the Gypsy's had left, there were only a handfull of caravans parked up (Hillgrounds Buzz) next to the tree's. There were turned over pots of paint and where they had done their tree cutting (they come round door to door) they had dumped all the cuttings in the hedgerow...mounds and mounds of it - totally ruining the hedges. It's going to cost the council a fortune to tidy up - it was heartbreaking. Gypsy's quite often camp here and there is never really any mess and I have always found the quite friendly as I have run by, but this time - must be different ones it was disgusting. They really dont' do themselves any favours by doing this. ils 16-05-2005, 05:40 AM Good Morning Cat :bye: Everyone :bye: Another nice bright morning here, but it is very chilly so I have just shoved the heating on to warm the place up! Must be an epidemic. Critique 23-05-2005, 10:55 AM I'm back - sorted! lol. My problem was..when I was going through depression, panic attacks, agoraphobia and lots of other nasty things due to my circumstances at the time they tried me on loads of antidpressants all of which created an allergic reaction in me and caused other problems. I told my doctor that all I wanted was to feel calm and relaxed and everything else would sort itself out. Against all they believe nowadays he agreed to provide me with Diazepam (Valium) which they don't like prescribing because it is supposed to be highly addictive. I was on 5 mg 3 x a day. I don't agree that they are any more addictive than a lot of the other stuff they pump into you and they don't have any side effects on me. Gradually, as I got better I stopped taking the middle one, and then the morning one, just continuing with one at night. Consequently I had a nice little stockpile so that I never ran out. When I went to the docs before Xmas she said that I shouldn't still be on them because of their addictive nature so I told her that I had weaned myself off to one a night. Bad move, cos then she would only give me a month's supply at a time on my prescription. As I still had loads left it wasn't a problem but now my stockpile has gone and I have to put the repeat prescription in every 28 days which is a pain in the bum because my eye-drops and cholesterol stuff is given to me in 2 months supply. I put a note on my repeat prescription asking if I could have 2 months supply to save the extra trip to the surgery (which involves getting out the car cos it's not within walking distance). Bearing in mind that I ran out last Tuesday, didn't put the prescription in til Thursday cos I kept forgetting - by the time I went to collect them on Sunday morning I was already getting withdrawal symptoms. I was bloody mad to find that not only had they not given me 2 months but they hadn't given me ANY! Just a note saying "Request refused, make an appointment to discuss". Needless to say, by this morning I was feeling shaky and a bit unstable, it being nearly a week without them. What he said was that because it showed on the computer that I had been getting by for more than a month without them, it looked like my request for more looked like I was upping the dose!!! I explained that I had been living on my reserves and was still only taking 1 at night. He gave me a lot of spiel about getting off of them completely and that I should reduce the dose gradually, blah blah. But he finally agreed that I could have them and gave me a prescription for 2 months supply - lol. I asked what the adverse effects were and he said they slow you down mentally!! When I said I thought I was pretty "sharp" and that I had done a HTML hand coding web design course and passed and that people younger than me had dropped out he said "just think how much better you would have been without the pills"!! I know he's probably right but compared to what I used to be like I feel that I am pretty much on the ball for my age - well I know my name, where I live and sometimes even what day of the week it is. I had quite a nice time in the waiting room too. Got chatting to a lovely gentleman who came from the same part of London as I did and whose wife worked in the same place as me and he knew all the same places and we had a good old chat so it passed the time really pleasantly. Ooh what should I do, decisions, decisions. Well its to late to clean the bathroom, cause I'm picking son up from school in an hour and a half, never get it done in that time. So ditto the same for all the other rooms. I suppose I could tidy up a little bit in here, the dining room and maybe do some washing up. The sun is shining here - and will continue to for a while I hope - so gonna get me some rays. How is everyone this fine morning? :bye: tonee 28-05-2005, 08:11 AM Morning Friends arriving from London today who, luckily, made a call first as to the weather situation. I believe it is hot over in English country. Told them to pack their jumper and waterproofs!! The weather changes here every 5 minutes and yesterday was freezing. They made me laugh with their horrified responses. Off to a beautiful, spectacular beach nearby. The walk will wake me up. Hope you all have a good day. ils 28-05-2005, 08:20 AM Morning Everyone :bye: The sun is trying to come out here, so I'm hoping we will have another lovely day like yesterday :D tonee - I hope you have a good time this weekend with your friends! Critique 28-05-2005, 08:42 AM Good Morning everyone. Beautiful day here and I am not going to moan at all even if Mr. C does go flying again. I bought grandson a brand new BMX yesterday (well he's only had ones from boot sales) it was the cheapest one we could find but he's thrilled to bits with it and Mr. C had such a good day's flying that he didn't bat an eyelid, in fact he spent an hour assembling it because to have it ready assembled we would have had to wait til Monday! :naughty: At least that gets grandson off my back and gives him something to do during the half term break. No doubt it will last all of 2 weeks but I refuse to get rattled. Calm and serene is my order of the day ;) Not sure how long that will last though. tonee 28-05-2005, 02:39 PM tonee - I hope you have a good time this weekend with your friends! How thoughtful to remember. I will and I will provide an account of the viking splash tour so you can all do it with a hangover - "when in Dublin, do as the locals!" Gelastic 28-05-2005, 02:47 PM Good afternoon everyone, hope you're all having much fun :D Coastie 29-05-2005, 05:32 AM TTFN - I'm on overtime Monday night so no mischief..I will catch you! :naughty: :bye: Cat 29-05-2005, 07:20 AM Morning Voicey!!!! Joining me for an early morning cuppa....or that would be a late night cuppa for you wouldn't it? Any news? Voice of reason 29-05-2005, 07:34 AM Morning Voicey!!!! Joining me for an early morning cuppa....or that would be a late night cuppa for you wouldn't it? Any news? Lol, 'tis evening here Cat but I'll still join you for that tea :) Lots going on here, been up the coast to Whakatane (pronounced Fak-a-tarnay) for the weekend and had a fantastic run on the beach! The sun was shining and it was very warm, but the wind was strong to run into on the return journey! Even so, you can't complain for winter! I'm told that we are having an easy winter this year (it's 20 degrees C most days) but that Gisborne always gets more sun than anywhere else in NZ anyway. The scenery is stunning though and the drive through the gorge which separates the Eastlands from central North Island was breathtaking. So far, it's mostly good :) Anyway, now it's time for 'Survivors of treasure Island' so it's Goodnight from me :wink_kiss ils 29-05-2005, 08:25 AM TTFN - I'm on overtime Monday night so no mischief..I will catch you! :naughty: :bye: Oh no - and there was I thinking we were going to get 4 days peace  Morning everyone :bye: Patsy 29-05-2005, 09:04 AM Morning peeps. mazwad 29-05-2005, 09:05 AM Just having a large cuppa before I start weeding again. seem to spend most of my time on my knees lately. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y103/mazwad/MaryOnKneesInGreen.gif Patsy 29-05-2005, 09:13 AM Wow Mazza.
