There was this one show I got SO wrapped up in and don't even know how it ended b/c they didn't bring it back for the endind...something 'Blues' about girl footballers. We have been having 'Footballer's Wives' which they compare to our 'Desparate Housewifes'. I so love my BBCAmerica!!! msgirl :)

Yes...it was a bit of shock Mel going like that! I'd heard someone was going to die but when it turned out to be her...eeek!

Was it "Reckless" starring Robson Green, Francesca Anis and Michael Kitchen?

I love Robson but for a more mature man I think Michael Kitchen is brilliant and quite fanciable. He always plays a similar part, with a droll sense of humour.

Tonight, I have been sitting online, listening to music and watching Mr H paint one side of the bedroom and bathroom doors. Has been therapeutic.

I was supposed to be keeping him company while he worked, but he's got the music on SO LOUD that it renders conversation impossible.

So I've posting instead..

My son's just got 9 more days of his driving ban to do and I have to say that I've been impressed with the fact that he hasn't once asked me to pick up the kids or run him anywhere. You may remember that when he was banned I said that it would be me that suffered the most as I thought I would become a taxi service.

So as he mentioned today that he had to get his little girls back to their mum's at 6.45 after a trip to McD and the park, but needed to be somewhere by 7 pm I offered to go and pick him up.

It won't take long and I'll be back for Eastenders and slob out like usual.

This one is to make up for the one I missed last year at about the same time.
I went into hospital the day before I was supposed to go to Turkey for a week as I reacted very badly to penicillin. Its not going to be quite the same as the weather is not looking to good. This time it is just me and Mr M so we can please ourselves what we do.

Setting off about 8pm our crossing is at one in the morning but if you are there early they let you on if there is space. We are travelling through the early hours so I hope he can stay awake if not we will pull over as there are plenty of rest areas. Thanks for your good wishes.

I'm back home, reluctantly, cos I had an absolutely brilliant time with the friend that I'd never met before, in Devon.

Talk about hit it off - it was like we'd known each other for ever. The weather wasn't too good, very misty and damp but it didn't matter. The conversation flowed (in fact she joked that her hubby had taken a shine to me cos she'd never known him to sit and chat to anyone like he did with me) and it was so relaxed and laid back. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

I fell in love too (naaah not with her husband but her beautiful border collie called Bobby). It was love at first sight for both of us

So here I am, back in the old routine, watching X-factor, looking after g/son while his dad goes out and catching up with messages.

Actually, i know your all going to laugh, but i started a jigsaw puzzle last night. I used to do them as i was growing up, and i got to be the master of jigsaws. It didnt matter how hard they were, i would be able to do it quickly.

But then i stopped, and have never done one since.

But last night i was cleaning out a cupboard and i spotted a brand new one, still in its wrapping that was a picture of a load of comical cats on a roof.

So i started it, and it was quite theraputic. I spent a happy hour playing, and im quite looking forward to having another go at it this evening.

Good news Buzz, well done to Mr Buzz
Blummin great news, Mr B! In what is he now qualified?
You put your posh voice on there Pats ;) I know it's grammatically correct (never finish a sentence with a preposition) but it doesn't roll off the tongue like "what's he now qualified in" does it?

Actually, i know your all going to laugh, but i started a jigsaw puzzle last night. I used to do them as i was growing up, and i got to be the master of jigsaws. It didnt matter how hard they were, i would be able to do it quickly.

But then i stopped, and have never done one since.

But last night i was cleaning out a cupboard and i spotted a brand new one, still in its wrapping that was a picture of a load of comical cats on a roof.

So i started it, and it was quite theraputic. I spent a happy hour playing, and im quite looking forward to having another go at it this evening.

I Love a good jig saw.

Anything that makes you concentrate that hard and lose hours is a good thing...

I am going to rest...take a long, hot shower, get into comfy pyjammas, read, maybe do some voddy and pineapple (my new fave voddylicious drink of late). My youngest son has gone for a sleepover till mid-day tomorrow and my 16 yr. old is at his highschool football game (American football) so he'll been in late. I have subbed all day in the infant nursery at one of my preschools I sub for and it's been a 10 hr. day. I 've worked so much the past 5 weeks I feel like a full time employee, lol!!!

Trying to catch up w/ you lot since most of you are sleeping or out or not online anyway. Been so busy the past few weeks and I've hit and run on here. Maybe read. Got to do all the stuff I didn't do today for tomorrow since I had a lay-in to recover from non-stop preschool the past 5 weeks. Gotta work Monday too. I think my part-time job is becoming permanent!! :w00t: :shocking:

Nothing really. Im trying to persuade Mr.B to stay home, as its his cards night down the pub .... but it doesnt appear to be working. I dont really fancy being alone tonight, but at the same time i dont fancy sitting in the pub alone as the others are playing cards !!!

Oh well. I dont think there are any good films on either. Last Sunday i had Dirty Dancing and Cocktail to watch, but tonight there is nothing on at all

Well, resting!! And catching up here as Mr. MS has been on here most of the weekend (the computer). Had to sub 8:00-4:00 today at one of my preschool jobs and then @ 6:30 had to go to an association meeting for my Childcare Providers Association. We are trying to plan a float for the Christmas Parade which is the first Saturday in December. We have all of our ideas squared away and have a few minor details to iron out. I'll post pics if it's possible. Now, after catching up w/ you lot, I'll read and make ready for my big jaunt into town to pay bills and get groceries tomorrow. Woo-Hoo. 'Course, the way things have been going the past few weeks I'm liable to be SUBBING!!

Trying to escape from football being on the telly !!!

I also need to take the dog for his walk, but with the nights drawing in its proving hard to take him for a good romp as there are no street lights and im petrified of the dark

We also made a grisley discovery the other day when walking him. About 30 mins walk from the house, in the middle of a field we came across a cows leg (or maybe it was his arm  ). It was severed, just above the knee. What the chuffin hell could of done that ? I mean, a fox couldnt do it .... and deer wouldnt want to do it.

So now im scared about being out alone when its dark.

Mr.B even gave me a scarp pocket knife to carry with me. Totally illegal i know, but piece of mind.

Of course, I have a full day to get there but it'll just be me and Mr. MS and he's hobbled up so I'll go shopping and bill paying SANS him and who knows what I'll get up to!!

Tonight I have been pampering myself.

I got home too late to go to the gym and Mr H was watching football, so I decided on some "me" time.

I've had a long bath, put a deep conditioning treatment on my hair, slapped on a face pack and plucked my eyebrows. I've just finished doing my nails and toenails and am now off to dry my hair.

Its been great. I haven't done this for myself for ages and i feel really relaxed now.

Short black skirt, little black top, long black dracula type cape, black tights with spiders webs on them with my black granny type boots, and on the night I'm going to backcomb my hair, put loads of black eyeliner and black lipstick on.

The only downside is that im starving. As the boss bought me a muffin earlier (and because im skint until tomorrow) i didnt buy any lunch. I thought the muffin would see me through ... but alas that isnt the case. I could now eat the table leg.

Tonight I particularly wanted to watch "Love Lies Bleeding" (a two-parter on ITV with Martin Kemp in it). I watched it but it was so obvious that I had it all worked out very early on and I'm not usually that quick at spotting the red herrings. Will probably try and catch the ending tomorrow night though.
