Do you like it?
I don't mind - but it tends to repeat lol.
Much prefer boiled seaweed in sushi.
So what are your favourite Chinese meals?

You need to go for quality NOT quantity Dol

I like it, but the stuff you get in take-aways isn't the real stuff, it's some type of green finely sliced then fried. But I like it.

Want a recipe for it? go here:

I luuuurve crispy seaweed, but then we were "dragged up" on kelp - my Nan used to bring bags of it back from Ireland when we were kids.......I think she must have confused it with sweets   My fave chinese is crispy chilli beef.....I am drooling at the thought of it ....and I luuuuurve Yuk Sung (sp???) but I havent been able to get it here in Devon yet - its only recently that I have been able to get sesame prawn toast down here!!!

I love the seaweed too, I was also brought up on the stuff as I am half Welsh and we always picked up loads of lava bread [sp?] when we visited Wales. Lava bread is mushy seaweed and you pat it into burger size patties, roll it in oatmeal and then fry it with your bacon and eggs for breakfast. Deeeeelicious!!!!! :)

I find Chinese food a bit bland in this country, once eaten in China this lot is awful. I must admit to prefering Thai or Indonesian food. so much nicer if you get the chance to try it!

I prefer Indian food, but Mr Q and the kids prefer Chinese - I am introducing them gradually to it............with positive feedback from them.....thankfully!

Yes, some Indian food is great! I must admit to having done this with the Grandkids, getting them into 'foreign' foods....even had them eating Sushi, which they now love...as I do!

Blimey Eternity 10/10 hun - we have a fish thaaaaaang going on in our house - we dont really "do" fish unless its from the chippy in Babbacombe (Hanburys - for those that ever visit Torbay)......

I have a bit of a veggie thing going on with fish from the sea  ...I can eat little baa lambs though

Jade refuses to eat it, let alone RAW, Mr Q will only eat cod, and Lewie, well he would eat sh*te if I put gravy or ketchup on it!

Oh Queenie, you are a gem..........no, really!!

Sushi is more rice based than anything, very little of it uses fish, especially raw, the prawns are cooked (wouldn't be pretty in their grey raw state!). It's something a lot of people think about sushi, but it really is delicious, low fat and hellish good for you!

Any food that doesn't involve me cooking is delish:laugh:

I do like chinese food, but it has to be the chinese in town. The one up the road from us is gopping:sick: . My favourite dish was crispy duck with pancakes, but I have recently discovered crispy beef and I love it.
As for sushi, I can't stand it. When I worked in America, one of the patients who had more money than sense used to buy the staff loads of sushi every night. I tried it but, nope it's not for me.

Forgot to mention - I will eat smoked salmon or smoked trout and I can manage prawns......as long as they have been peeled and I dont think about what they are as I eat them - I know, Im pathetic

As for actually TOUCHING a dead fish - nah, cant do it, Eeeewwww!!! I have a right old game when I go fishing with Mr Q I can tell you....he gets really cross with me cos I refuse to touch and land my catch....then I start squealing and giggling like a teenager when he chases me up the breakwater with a mackerel or mullet.....
