Does anyone like this band? I think they're great. If you don't know who I'm on about, they are the band behind the hits "Somebody Told Me" and "Mr Brightside" and if you don't have a scooby what these songs are, I guarantee that if you hear them, you'll havde heard them before.
They are a brilliant band and I'm going to see them tonight (in the Carling Academy kooks!) so if there's any fans out there, I'll report back!

Well the concert was excellent, as I thought it would be.

Crystal Lights, Im not sure if they're touring the UK - sorry! But I know that they did play in Newcastle not that long ago but I think that was something to do with NME.
Even if they aren't touring, I don't think it'll be long before they do.

I agree, the Killers are great PJ. I'm waiting for 'Somebody told me' to become available on itunes as I want it on my 'running' playlist for the gym!

Killers are cool, my ten year old is in the phase of music now, he likes Kerang radio, Greenday, Killer, etc.
There are some good bands now that i could have posted full songs of on my site - but alas popular opinion is that i am spamming - so tough.
Keep on listening PJ, don't ever stop. :wink2:

I can believe I missed this thread! I listened to the album all over christmas, and then had it on quite frequently while revising for my exams (along with scissor sisters!) it's bloody excellent, and I don't say that about many albums!

That could be Kasabian Queenie.

Killer are good. I'm liking Muse a lot at the moment, but then I always liked Radiohead and nothing is original.

So good you had to say it twice, Noxious? :wink2:

And I agree Muse are good and I loved radiohead - still do. fair enough, their songs make me want to take a cheese-grater to my wrists sometimes but what a bloody good band!

Anyone here like the Bravery's new song "An Honest Mistake" it is excellent, as is this new band I've listened to recently called "Kings Of Leon".

Oh and you have to get the self titled album out yesterday by Lifehouse!!!

I thought that the Bravery sounded VERY like Planet Earth by Duran Duran

Kinds of Leon - I think I may have seen them at a Festival over the last few years........but im not 100% sure

Kings of leon are not an normal band, they are extremely original, and it took me a few listens, but now I am hooked!

Kings of Leon are brilliant! In fact, when Miss PJ was down in London with her friends she was staying in the same hotel as them and they invited her and her friends to a party in their room.

Ahem... Miss PJ!
She was but she didn't really enjoy it cos she said that they were just doing lines of charlie everywhere and obviously she's not into that sort of thing so it was all a bit daunting for her fragile mind!

Ah bless! Oh well she met some stars, the guitarist shares the rare name "Jared" with my son.

sorry peej, just noticed this thread today 3 months later!! i started a thread about this band ages and ages ago (on the last board we had i think) except i called them the killahs coz i dont really have a clue. but yes i do quite like them surprisingly and was the concert good? but u will be proud to know i have attempted a foray in your kinda music peej and went to see a local band last week. but the place was full of those trendy band people, you know the types? all have "fashionable" mullets with a spiky tuft and carefully placed strands over thier cheeks to accentuate that pout and it creates the ruffled band look even though u know they have spent all day carefully coaxing their mullets into place. they also all wear scarfves, stripy ones are most popular over their military jackets. and me being a teensy bit tipsy was brave enough to take the pee outta them and rubbed the top of my hair until i created a wee tuft and vaselined (coz that was the only sorta gel type stuff we had with us!) my sidies to stick onto my cheeks and poutted oh so fashionably. it was good laugh, but i dont think the matching mullets sat next to us appreciated it.

The Killers are quite probably my favourite band at the moment. Or maybe The Kaiser chiefs.

Anyways, I like both of them, but The Killers possibly have the edge. Brandon Flowers reminds me a bit of Jack Dee.
