I set my DVD to tape last nights show - and the blooming thing is playing up.
It recorded it ok, but I don't get any sound. In fact, if I watch TV through the DVD I don't get any sound either so I think it might be knackered.
I saw Lisa's eviction, but missed the show up until there - which is a real shame as I wanted to watch Jeremy's mini task with the song names.
Can someone give me a runthrough of what I missed please?

Jeremey had to slip into the conversation without anyone noticing, 6 Queen song titles, 3 were given by Big Bro and 3 he had to think up himself. It had to be done within the space of 30 minutes. I dont like him but he did well on this one.

Thanks MR!
I'm even more miffed with myself because I had just got in when Jeremy was doing his task, but because I thought I'd be able to watch it later I was making myself a cup of tea so I missed it!

Oh dear! - I can relate to that. There's nothing worse than programming your VCR to record one of Scorcese's hottest movies....only to discover later on that you've recorded "Trisha" instead.
The amount of times I've had to work while my team Man United are playing a huge european match. I go to painful lengths to avoid hearing score updates from colleagues. When I drive home, I have the car radio switched off ('cos I know that even the s**ts at Classic fm would announce the result. I arrive home - 10 mins or so of the game remaining. As tempting as it is I prefer not to look at the score. I wait for game to end. I make lovely meal. Pour a nice cold beer. I rewind tape. I sit down. And it slowly becomes quite apparant that I neglected to depress "Timer record" before I left the house.....

Horrible sinking feeling you get isn't it.
Similar thing happened earlier in the week - I taped The Commander on Monday and setup the DVD to record Tuesdays episide - I checked that it had started recording, then later on I realised that although the record light was on the display was blank - I had to turn it off at the mains to reset it which mean that Tuesdays episode was lost!
I think the machine has had it - I on'y bought it last year too - I'll have to see if it's still within the warrentee period!
One similar occasion I STILL regret is when BB5 was on I used to tape the live latenight footage on C4 and run through it to see if anything good happened - the one night I set the DVD wrong was fightnight!! I'd set it to record the following night instead!!
