I know this isn't the norm but HELP!! I'm desparate to find the name of a film I saw as a kid(reliving my youth). It was a 1950's American comedy set in a Hunting/Fishing Store and the story was based around a Bass/Trout Fishing competition. I thought it starred Jerry Lewis but searched all his movies & it isn't, but it's that type of movie. Anyone out there help me please??

I know that in his child-acting days Ron Howard played a kid called "Opi/Opee" in a good old fashioned American Values-type comedy. Couldn't offer anything more I'm afraid.

Welcome Taff-Finn btw - the only 1950's film I can think of with that sort of theme is a Rock Hudson and Doris Day film, set in the mountains and it involves fishing??
